My thoughts exactly. Out of all the CoD games they could've chosen, they pick MW3?? It was easily the worst CoD ever made until Ghosts came along.
@thunderbear
Nonsense. It does work that way. We saw it when the 7th gen got here. It was common for last-gen versions of games (PS2 and Wii since Xbox and GC were already abandoned) to be done by other studios and often featured drastically different level designs and scaled down/completely different assets as a result. They could do the same thing now if they wanted.
Yeah they have more horsepower, but we haven't been seeing anything mind-blowing in te...
Kinda hard for AMD to do better in mobile when the OEM's refuse to put their chips in decently-specced machines.

Yeah the performance you get for the money you spend is pretty great. I've used several APU's and they were great for how cheap they were. Just gotta make sure you pair them up with fast dual-channel memory is all. They're a blast to overclock as well.
Not really. What would be accomplished by them developing it exclusively for PS4/X1/PC? We get even fancier graphics? Big deal. The gameplay would still be the same ol' tried & true CoD gameplay with nothing really new added except for the Gimmick of the Year contingent on which dev made the game.
I dropped the series altogether after experiencing that trainwreck Ghosts. They refused to fix glaring issues with their netcode which ruined the whole games instantly, and ...
What driver support? Their GPU's? Their GPU drivers have been rock solid for ages now... At least on Windows. Linux is where the driver issues have been, but they've been finally making strides in that area in recent times.
Why would MS wait this long to buy AMD, then? And I don't think them having control of the x86 patents would be so simple, since Intel and AMD have the cross-licensing deal where Intel can use the AMD64 (x64 / x86-64) ISA and AMD can use the x86 sets.
MS could power their devices with CPU's from either Intel or AMD if they wanted without having to buy either company. They could even get IBM chips if they wanted. It's a non-point.
The profits fro...
Not sure what sort of logic you guys are using. It's like suggesting that Sony should've bought Nvidia just because the PS3 was powered by a GPU they designed. MS wouldn't exactly make a killing per unit sold so there's no real point in them buying the company. None of you even entertained the idea of such a thing happening until a ridiculous article about it appeared in tech circles (read: the echo chamber of regurgitated copy-pasted nonsense) talking about the "rumor&qu...
I expect the NX to be powered by a 14/16nm APU with stacked HBM memory. Might be HBM2 spec since the system will most likely release after HBM2 already starts appearing in consumer and enterprise GPU's. Wouldn't be shocked if it's powered by either some ARMv8 or Zen-based CPU cores either.
Not exactly new news that AMD is most likely the ones that will power the NX, but fun to speculate on what the chip will be nonetheless.
There is absolutely zero chance of Microsoft buying AMD. It makes no sense.
Go to sites like glassdoor.com where you can read company reviews given by ex-employees, and you'll see why Valve doesn't make games anymore. Gabe himself is like a ghost in the company and apparently spends most of him time playing DotA 2. I guess since he's filthy rich and they're making a constant flow of ludicrous money from Steam and CSGO and Dota, they feel they don't need to make games anymore. Oh well.
AMD CPU's are still a good buy for entry-level and mid-level rigs. The FX Piledrivers don't really bottleneck high-end GPU's unless you do Crossfire/SLI.
DDR5 isn't even a thing lol. GDDR5 is for GPU's.
I'm at a loss...
... I think I'll just buy the game itself, but thanks.
I agree with the article sentiments.
That being said, I find it amusing how the image on this page is of a promo image for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl (a damned fantastic game, mind you) yet it has the Fallout 4 logo on it, haha.
The last CoD that had a beta was World at War in 2008, from what I recall.
I don't hate him. I just find his YouTube persona very annoying and thus don't watch anything he makes.
Yeah, I read about this back in EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly, RIP) in like 2003 or 2004. The thing sounded too good to be true. Turns out it was.
"Many people" bought the hell out of RE5 and 6, so I'm sure a "Definitive Edition" for PS4/X1 would sell decently and be financially viable for Capcom.
And personally I LOVED Mercenaries mode from RE5 and 6.
LOL. Exactly what I was gonna say. Well maybe not word-for-word, but the sentiment was the same :x.
