But yeah, the 20th anniversary itself has already passed but it was cool to see them announce Tekken 7 around that time. Hopefully it turns out to be an amazing game. Been playing since T3 in '99 and never looked back.
The worst part of MGO2 was the actual community itself. Seriously, the community was worse than CoD's at the time. At least in CoD if someone annoyed you, you could just mute them. But in MGO2, you had a bunch of little kids forming clans and cliques and just ganging up on everyone else in the wrong way. What's this? You started owning them? Prepare to get kicked from the room, EVEN IF YOU HOSTED IT. Lol, I don't miss that nonsense at all.

Dude, WWE All Stars was AMAZING. It even had juggles! The game was hilarious to watch, and even more fun to play. Great game to play with some friends crowded around the TV... I'd easily take a sequel to that over the trash they've been giving us these past few years :(.
Mantle doesn't get used on PS4 because it would be redundant. PS4 already has a low-level, to-the-metal graphics API, so Mantle wouldn't help much there. Mantle is mainly for PC, to finally fix a lot of the problems that have been present in DirectX and OpenGL for too many years now.
To be fair, Guerrilla Games never once billed Killzone as a Halo-killer. That was all from the stupid journos at the time (2003~2004) who only made the comparisons because Sony was finally getting a PS-exclusive FPS game. In reality, GG never made comparisons like that and Killzone was always completely different to Halo in terms of just about everything besides the fact both were FPSes.

Nah, the appeal of Tony Hawk was the arcadey gameplay. If people want a sim-style skating game, they should simply play Skate. There'd be no point in them trying to copy off Skate.

It's all about the benjamins. These reviewers getting flown out to private hotels and whatnot and being fed and pampered by the publishers to "entice" them to give the game good scores.
That's one thing that GamerGate was all about, the state of journalistic integrity, or the lack thereof in the industry. And it painfully shows in many of these reviews.

Didn't you know? If a game scores less than an 8, that means it's trash and that you shouldn't ever play it. Nevermind being an individual and judging a game yourself, you're not doing it right unless you become a braindead sheepish drone and buy into the myth that the gaming media's opinions = undeniable truth. Somewhere along the lines it was also determined that a 7 is no longer "above average" or even "good", but "terrible".

What a world we live in today, where somehow 7/10 is a low score. It's like anything lower than an 8 is all "horrible" to you guys. For what it's worth, a 5 or 6 would be "Average", and many sites outright state that. 7 would be above average, or "Good", etc. I'm not sure why everyone expects every AAA game to be some revolution in gaming or something.

I think I spent more time playing PS2 games overall than I did PS3 & 360 games, let alone the current generation of consoles, lol. Back when the industry wasn't completely facepalm-worthy.
It honestly doesn't even matter whatsoever whether or not this guy is telling the truth. Ubi's actions over the past decade+ have been evidence enough to show that they suck and have made countless mistakes, especially in regards to their treatment of the PC as a platform.
