Triple A Pachinko
Awesome and fun articles. Always nice to see people from older generations bonding with people from the newer generations. Sigfried sounds like a cool guy :).
I love both of the games and it's a shame Squeenix basically canned the series after those layoffs happened. The 2nd game did better with user scores than it did "critically". Now I'll never know how the cliffhanger ending of the second game would be resolved.
The team said they had Konami's go-ahead to make it, then they later did a 180 out of nowhere and told them to f*ck off. That's why it was so ridiculous. I remember reading that, anyway.
This reminds me of that other fan remake that had David Hayter of all people onboard doing writing and voice work for it. Then it got shut down for no other reason than "We're Konami, please hate us."
Kojima Logic*
It's the most fun I ever had with a kart racer, I don't give a SHIT what anyone says (come at me Mario fanboyz) lol.
Man, turnin' this game on, hookin' up the multi-tap and just getting out the extra controllers to play with friends... Nothing beats an intimate multiplayer experience like that. It even had a lulzy battle arena mode for the multiplayer, lol. They need to make another one of these and put it on PS4 and Vita with cross-platform multiplayer.
I played this like 5 years ago. Definitely worth the playthrough. If you guys like this, make sure you check out this game's precursors, the Penumbra series.
My condolences.
Devs will only optimize for Gamebarelyworks(TM) if Nvidia pays them enough.
It's easy to miss something if you don't check it to begin with. And it's not like they could've done much about it without a revolt.
YOU CAN'T SEE HIM, HIS TIME IS NOW
Implying that Konami swept the entire game looking for thinly-veiled insults at them...
so edgy
Kojima obviously has an ego, but this was put in the game clearly as a "take that" to Konami for trying to scrub his name out of existence. Plus, it's not only his name that pops up a lot, but everyone who was involved in the creation of the chapters, so gg with the clickbait title.
Sam Lake with that Max Payne 1 face, lol.
Pro gaming isn't a sport...it's an e-Sport, there's an important distinction there. If Poker and Table Tennis and other things like that can be considered worthy of being played for money, so can competitive vidya.
I don't think watching people streaming is dumb. Why would I go and waste money on a game if I'm unsure, or absolutely sure I don't feel like playing it myself? And some people just watch their friends stream a game just to chill or for comedic reasons. There are a lot of games where I'd just watch a walkthrough of it to get the story and experience since I just didn't want to play it. Lots of valid reasons to watch a stream or a youtube playthrough.

Yep, Keiichiro Toyama.
