I'll glady play through Snake Eater again. I played it on my HDTV with the PS2 component cables, and while it looked okay, it was still hard to see various details, such as animals and plants through the grass and making the enemies out through the dense jungle foliage.
Maybe for FPS and RTS, everything else? Lolno. No way in hell would I use a keyboard/mouse for a fighting game.

What about all the actual Battlefield fans who have high veteran levels, or people who were VIP's in BC2? I was in both the betas for BC2, and was a VIP and have a decent veteran level, yet people who bought a completely different trash game get the beta before everyone else, even people who were in the BF3 Alpha Trial? Such ridiculous hores...

It was easy to emulate the Wii because it's basically just a powered-up Gamecube, and gamecube emulation was mastered years ago. As a matter of fact, Dolphin, the most popular emu for GC/Wii, actually lets you launch Wii and GC games from it; no need for extra programs.
PS3 and 360 emulation is a long time off. Don't even try to hype it up, it's a joke for now.
Superior emulation?
Xbox emulation is almost non-existent, and PS2 emulation has come a long way, but many games are still broken or don't work at all, and a lot of the ones that do perform horribly or require a lot of speedhacks/customizations to work properly.
PS3 and 360 emulation is literally a pipe-dream right now, and we won't see that for another ten, maybe fifteen years at best. It'd be pointless anyway, might as well just buy the damn sy...
It sucks that they're losing their jobs, although most will probably quickly find work elsewhere.
Still, they kinda brought it on themselves for making a horribly generic and mediocre shooter. When I played it, my mind was blown that someone had the audacity to release such a bare game in 2011.
If they do a FF2 and it stays true to the gameplay of the first one while adding in even more tactical gameplay, I'd play it for ages. The first one was a masterpiece.
