Like a PC, which is what the game was mainly done on lol. Console users should be glad they even got this game. I'll be getting it on PC myself. Sony is known for letting devs have leeway in doing things the way they wanna do them, which is great. The PS3 and PSP became open platforms.
MoH LE owners and BF3 pre-orderers get it on the 27th, which is Tuesday. Everyone else gets it Thursday.
OVER THE ROAD RACING
Lolno. Consoles will never beat PC since PC hardware is always advancing. Not even the Wii U will look better than the stock PC version, don't even kid yourself.
Those games still DO sell now, that's my point. Not only that, but they also have Quake Live which you can pay to get premium features on, so they're getting extra cash from that.
LOL @ them being "outdated". Hundreds of thousands of people still play the Quake and Doom games' multiplayer daily. Those games are still used in tourneys to this day. Try again.
The only other FPS besides Quake that CoD scrubs should thank is Medal of Honor, the series that CoD branched off from.
LOLWAT? You're fucking joking, right? IW only had to pay a one-time license fee to use the engine. id made their money from selling fucktons of their badass games. Ever hear of Quake 3 Arena? That game along sold a crapload of copies, as well as pretty much every title in the Doom and Quake series. Money has never been a problem for id.
Pretty sure Metro 2 will be superior on PC. I'm not buying a Wii U just to get slightly better-looking multi-plat games when I can get them on my PC or PS3 that I already own.
Yeah man. That engine on Crysis 1 was just crap, unoptimized crap. They should update it, at least like they did with Warhead since Warhead was proved to be much better optimized.
I agree with both of you guys. Stuff like Quake, UT, Painkiller, Serious Sam, etc. classic FPS like that is where it's at.
I hope Quake V is done right.
Yeah there's MLG on consoles, but only for talentless games like CoD and Halo. Those games take no talent or skill at all to play.
CS is a serious game, I pretty much agree with kevnb. I play FPS on console, and while it's great for campaigns, arcade modes, and dicking around in multiplayer, no way would I ever take competitive console play serious unless it involved a keyboard and a mouse. And yes I know CS on PS3 has kb+m support, so it's a rare exception, just...
LOLWAT? LOL @ you and the six idiots who agreed with. PC gaming has the single biggest backlog of games ever. I'd much rather play a game like Quake or Painkiller than some trash like MW2. Have fun with your CoD 52 and Halo 23.
Actually you can play Portal 2 and L4D on splitscreen on PC, just gotta type in a few console commands lol. PC > console.
Nope, I'd rather they keep the beta constrained to loyal CS fans anyway, not just any random joe.
The delay isn't really confirmed. The game was already rated by the ERSB, which pretty much means there's no way they'll delay it or anything like that. One of the devs in an interview recently said they're putting the finishing touches on it right now. Don't think a date was ever revealed until that trailer for JP anyway, so yeah.
YESH. YESH!
That got delayed to 2012, so that's not the reason at all.
What are you talking about? Shattered Memories came out last year...
Besides, I'd rather wait 2 or 3 years than just get the same game regurgitated every year *cough*COD*cough*.
I'll be gettin' that beta on the 27th, PS3. Add me up if you want, just lemme know you're from here if you do! My PSN is the same as my username here.
Still waiting on an official press release before I jump the gun.
