I played a lot of insta-gib rail rounds on Quake 3 yesterday, game is still beyond amazing after all these years.
I think RAGE was more of a testing grounds, just wait until other games are made on it. Doom 4 and Quake V among others...

It's not a port. SR2 PC was outsourced to another dev...and those devs weren't even given access to the game's original source code.
SR3 PC will be done 100% in-house by Volition. Nothing to worry about here.

These are only problems on todays casual-oriented shooters like CoD and...any game that tries to be like CoD.
You want a real, non-BS MP experience? Try pretty much any classic FPS on the PC. CS, Quake, Doom, UT, Painkiller, etc.

I'm glad they removed that trash MP mode, it was easily the worst part of the game.
To everyone else: No, co-op is still in. They left out competitive to focus solely on the campaign mode and making the sandbox that much more awesome.
