Its nothing new, PC games are full of games with AMD/Nvidia logos as one of their startup movies.

The optimizations for consoles GPU won't really carry over much to PC since the OS is different. Last gen the PS3 had a nvidia GPU and it didn't help PC optimization at all.
It ran better on Nvidia by a good amount of fps on the 680 vs 7970.

Actually contrary to the belief of many many people the Gamecube was actually more powerful than the PS2 but not as powerful as the xbox "one" (original). The wii was between an original xbox and xbox 360 in terms of power.
Surprising, I would expect a movie company to be a DRM loving company like EA is.
Main reason:
Arkham City and Arkham Asylum had CD code DRM on the PC version.
Nobody was preordering them so gamestop cancelled all their shipments in favor of PS4s xD
The PS3 was hated because of the price point. By that logic everyone would hate the xbox one even if it had no restrictions because it cost more.
Its always listening lol, the console can be off but the kinect still listens for commands so its really always on.

Did you know your paying $50 a year for PSN and even more for xbox live and a lot more for every game? I have 200 games on steam, know how much I paid for them total? About $600. How much would 200 games cost that are atleast $10 each on the PS4? Your looking at about $2000 + tax and id say about half are 20-$30 new. and that doesn't include dlcs, counting all dlcs and free games on steam I own almost 400 pieces of software.

Downloaded it so if EA pulls it I still have it.
The current rumor is that the games will only be able to use 4 cores for gaming and will use 4 for OS/multitasking sadly so sorry fx 8350 maybe 9th gen. That theory is strongly backed up because the octa chip is really 2 4 core cpus in different groups and 8 cores is already a pain in the ass to code for and would cause development time to go way up.
I'm going to wait till the next gen games come out and see how maxwell compares to the 9000 series before getting a new gra...

I really hope they stay away from companies like EA and focus on games not $, many developers have turned into crap after getting famous becuase they just start caring only about $.
Not that great :/ the graphics cards these consoles are going to get compared to the 780 (out right now) by itself has 7.1 billion transitors.
How long till the PS4/xbone gets emulated? Only toke them 2 years to get the wii emulated since it was x86. Going to be funny when you can run uncharted 4/god of war/last of us 2/gears of war 4/halo 5/Forza 5/etc on better settings on a decent PC.
Odds are we will see a ps4/xbone emulator long before a ps3/xbox 360 emu...

so 1.2 teraflops is now = to 1.8 teraflops, go home your drunk thats an entire series difference in performance. Thats like saying an amd 7770 is = 7850.
ddr3 runs cool enough that it doesn't need heatsinks or fans to stay cool, GDDR5 runs hotter but is still not going to overheat.
Well if you want to spend $1300 on 2 780s you can go run BF4 with SSAA and 1 780 could do it easy on cod ghost.
