The bare minimum is probably i3/quad core amd 3ghz with a mid end gpu from amd or nvidia to play at 1080p with acceptable fps.

This is one of those games that intel stomps amd by about 25-30fps with there i5s/i7s. With console optimization I think they could pull 60 as long as the gpu is good enough to push it at that res.
@MonkeyBootey so if you use steam you automatically are a PC Gamer? No, most of those people with lower end pcs are there for older games or 2d games or they don't own any games at all and just have steam.
Planetside 2 was not running max on the PS4, where was the physx effects because I saw none of them because the PS4 is AMD not Nvidia. A lot of newer games have Physx which is a next generation particle effect pretty much but it will not be seen in any console games. <...
So close to CGI and this game isn't even close to what the new consoles are capable of. This will be the gen where real life gets beaten by games. I want to see if CD Projekt red stays true to their word about the game looking like the trailer.

The estimate is 25%-50% of the xboxs that were around during the RROD period got it.
The days of crappy console ports is near its end, now that all 3 major platforms are the same architecture it would require a pretty crappy developer to pull that crap.
The consoles will probably have to pull some of the cpu power through Directcompute but that means less gpu power is available.
Just because Sony won't report it doesn't stop Gamestop or Amazon from saying how many PS4's they sell.
Ehhh I would say no the cpu its not powerful at all sadly. its better than the current consoles by a large amount but not even close to a desktop cpu.
Sony has been winning the console sales war for 3 years in a row even if the xbox didn't have all its restrictions and kinect it would still lose to Sony in worldwide sales.
That would be the stupidest thing they could possibly do. Why do people think the xbox one is the only thing that can use the cloud. Sim City is a "cloud title" and its a pc exclusive.
Wait for the real sales data to come out after the consoles launch, PS4 will obliterate the xbone in sales.
