To point out as well, can you play online PS2 games via PS3 against PS2 (only) players?? You sure can with Xbox/360 - yet MS doesn't boast about it.

MS showed no hype in 2005 but look at the great system they delivered and what they had in store that was NEVER mentioned (digital distribution)!!! MS let Sony brag and boast about "Only the PS3 can do True HD 1080p." ...
UT3 is supposed to drop in NOVEMBER- which means 360 should have it by January. And no one wants to try to compete with a record-breaking smash like Halo 3 (to me UT series multiplayer is better by far but how much money has the UT franchise made compared to Halo??)

It looks good - amazing if you're coming from a PS2 or xbox but this hardly "blows Gears" or any other game out of the water. Stop dreaming! That's why Sony BS's it's fans all the time - cause y'all take whatever crumb they give you and you say it's a full course meal.

No one reviewing games can't take into account the fact this game is 3-4 years old. Also keep in mind how much Black costs (new) and how much you can buy it for today. Also, even with the original two, you could post your high-scores online to show off your skills (this is missing or not mentioned for Sigma).

It sends out too many bad messages:
1. "Screw you", to the early buyers.
2. Our sales performance is weak. ("Due to what?" says the smart shopper)
3. The competitor's price is really hurting us. ("Well, they must have a comparable or better product for less." says the samart shopper.)

Even todays TVs are no longer 10 year products. If you think the technology in the PS3 will be at the top of the food chain in even 5 years, then you are sadly mistaken!
BTW they already changed the PS3 well before 1 year is up. Emotion chip. Gone. 20G version. Gone. With so many changes already, who knows what else they'll change in the next few years.
