Can't wait...GTA IV is easily the best game this year and for $20 I get more greatness.
Most of people talking "####" right now won't be able to because they only own a PS3.
My Gamestop has 76 copies of GTA IV traded in and mine is one of them...That means nothing because I loved the game and played the hell out of it...I just wanted new games and used the credit to help pay for it. As fond of myself as I am, I doubt I'm the sole person who had this brilliant idea of trading a game in that I loved when I'm done playing it in order to get another game.
A disappointment to YOU...You act like there wasn't a ton of people that actually loved it and in fact, most of the people I know loved it. The only place I've seen pan it is to any significant degree is here. The game not only lived up to my expectations but surpassed them.
I've been a gTA fan since GTA 1. I've played and beaten every single one, except Vice City Stories...GTA IV is easily the best in the series.
GTA IV is the best game this year, I played it to about 85% completion (I rarely 100% games if I have ever) and played the hell out of the online...I traded the game into GS when I needed the money for a new game (Saints Row 2) and I will GLADLY pick up the game again for the DLC...It's a great game that I think is hilariously panned by so-called gamers like the lamers on here. 2 disagrees with a factual statement about Final Fantasy? Look up the numbers...GTA has outsold it every time since III. And currently with the game selling well over 10 million, I doubt FFXIII will sell that many.
MS paid to break the exclusive deal? Maybe, I wasn't there so I don't know, but I'm sure the fact that more people own a 360 and has a higher attach rate than PS3 had a bit to do with it as well.

Wow, all of you work for developers? I had no idea you all had such insights as to why campaign modes were shorter these days. It has nothing to do with the games costing more to make and everything to do with MP replacing single player to make up for it lacking? And here I thought Gears of War's MP was almost eliminated (which would explain it's lack of depth) but kept on in the 11th hour.
ANYWAY, I like both and I can tell you that I will play the campaign first before I play ...
I've played all the games you mentioned and the only one that stands out as "BETTER" is MGS4. The other games are great looking but no better than Gears 2 and mind you, I think Gears are solid games that are overrated in the gameplay department but they look amazing.
I'm fairly certain that no Final Fantasy has sold as many copies as a GTA game on PS2 and it certainly won't in this generation.
Sony knows the video game business better than MS? In terms of longevity, I'd agree, but not a single one of their games have outsold Halo 3, or Gears of War and when all is said and done, Gears 2...Not to mention GTAIV (which I'm sure everyone associates, or used to associate, the series with the PS brand) and Call of Duty 4 and W@W have outsold heir PS3 counterparts. That's because apparently MS knows how to market a game better than Sony. Which is shame because they did a great job with Me...
I agree with the review that repeated viewings show flaws in it. It's still an amazing film, but little things like Batman's utter lack of care for public property and safety while using the Tumbler were beyond ridiculous this time around.
You could have told him that wasn't true. I tell people about the awesomeness of the PS3's Bluray player all the time. I still prefer the 360 for gaming though.
Watching my friend stand in front of a bathroom door that started to break open with a spawning Horde was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in this game.
I wasn't into the demo, but playing with good people makes this game a lot of fun.
EA should have waited to release this in December. This game game out days after the two biggest games of the Holiday were released and had a niche appeal to begin with. Unfortunately, every Holiday has at least one or two great games that perform so poorly that any hope of a franchise stops dead in it's tracks. This is one of those games. Shame too because it really was a great game.

I'm getting both and will play the hell out of them. GTAIV is easily Game of the Year. I love when people say it was disappointing because it just proves how little they know about storytelling and tone. BOO HOO, no jet packs. I bet you guys prefer movies with Will Farell to movies like The Godfather and Goodfellas. GTAIV had the best story in a game this year by far and played great. I personally can't wait for the DLC and I'm sure there a ton of other people that agree.

I'm a fan because I get movies I want, and then instead of driving to the store I can walk my lazy ass to the end of the driveway and shove it in a mail box. No late fees, convenience...yep, I'm sold.
The Netflix streaming on 360 is actually really neat. I have the service for new releases, which I get all the time, but I can sit back and watch a movie I feel like watching. It works great.
Why does everyone care what a site said about a game? I didn't read the review but the reality is that I don't have to. Did the review say "ANYONE who likes this game is a moron"? I doubt it, so then why is everyone so personally insulted. Reviews have always been opinions, you read what is said and decide if you agree or not. Splinter Cell came out later in a much truncated version. Whole parts of levels were missing. They added a snow level, which was cool, but I'd rather have the complete game.
Personally I couldn't care less if it comes out for both because I own both, same with MGS5.
It is like Assassins Creed in that you can make the game as interesting as you want. You just lack the imagination to stray from the beaten path. I find both games to be fantastic innovations on their respective genres.

Or you can look at it that you got two games for $80. If I buy a game and sell it for $30 (which, if you beat a game that fast, is very feasible) then you only paid $30 for that game and can now pay $30 for the next game.
Even if they give you $25, you're still coming out ahead because your next game won't be $60.
