70%? Where did you get that number? Do you have proof? Because everyone I know personally, loved it. So I'd like some facts to support that number please.
They state rather clearly, why they think it's a great game...They said they streamlined the experience, had a great story, lead character and improved the mechanics of the series in every way...You may not agree, but it isn't hard to understand.
Yet again, the right game wins...I'm so glad that there are people with enough good taste and sense making these decisions...GTA IV IS the Game of the Year.
Dead Space was definitely the weakest of the bunch and offered very little more than RE in Space...Mirror's Edge was easily one of the best games this year and deserved more attention...PoP was a GOOD game but a bit too easy.
Now that that's out of the way, the real reason why these games underperformed is because their were way too many heavy hitters coming out withing weeks of each other. Another great game that suffered was Far Cry 2...But the only people to blame are the publ...
For me it was either GTA IV or this so I back this opinion.
Pretty much as I expected with the mighty and rightfully praised GTA IV on top.
So wait, I'm nuts for thinking Fable 2 was disappointing, but you think GTA IV was "crap". Yeah, you're a beacon of sanity.
I do know what game I played...It was Fable 1.5. I love RPGs and Fable 2 was just an incredibly dumbed-down version of one. It lacked the depth of a truly great RPG like Fallout 3 or a Final Fantasy. I had fun with it, but considering the hype and the scores and my expectations, the fact that it failed to measure up makes the game a huge disappointment. See, just because I didn't LOVE the game, doesn't mean I hated it, it just means I was, get this, DISAPPOINTED. Sucks, I know.
Fable 2 is easily my biggest disappointment...It was a solid game that I played through to the end, but it didn't deliver what I was expecting at all. It was too short, even with doing all the available extra missions, I beat it in 15 or so hours, which is ridiculous for an RPG. The story was crap, they jobs were tedious and boring, the lack of customization, especially after the first one, was disappointing as well. And don't get me started on the fact that you couldn't die.
I agree that the only opinion that matters should be your own, but I gotta say that the vindication of more people agreeing with you feels pretty damned good.
GTA IV IS the Game of the Year and as these lists keep popping up you're going to see more and more of them having this game at the top of the list...And it deserves to be...Just because a bunch of people here found it boring doesn't mean the rest of the world did.
They look the same so the 360 version it is.
Both games were good and while I though Dead Space was pretty much RE in space, it still brought enough new ideas and gameplay to the table to warrant a sequel. And Mirror's Edge blew me away with it's fluid controls and originality. Unfortunately, the economy does suck and both of the games were released during the glut of Holiday releases. They should have released them in the spring when the releases are light. It's extremely hard for new IPs to make a name while going up against Guitar He...
This and Resistance are the only reason I still have a PSP.
Can not wait.
Sorry, but I wasn't blown away by the graphics at all. Heavy Rain, Killzone 2, and Uncharted 2 all look better.
Feature-wise there is a huge difference. You can't do half the things on PSN that you can do on LIVE. Maybe someday they will, but seeing as how it's a free service, I don't see that happening anything soon.
How does Home enhance the gaming experience? Your games are exactly the same. It doesn't make it easier to access them. NXE actually makes navigating much easier and adds cross Live party support with VOICE CHAT. You're damn right it enhances it.
You just don't get it. Obviously. It's not just the ability to play on Live that they charge for. It's the features such as voice chat, cross Live parties of 8, ease of use and maintaining servers. They charge for the service so it can be the best it can be and are constantly upgrading it. You can't do anything BUT play online on PSN. That may be enough for you, which is great, but saying that there is no difference between the two is based purely on ignorance or blind fanboyism. I pay becaus...
So then the whole of who you've spoken to is all gamers?
