""Many of their heavy hitters aren't selling great."-
thats because they were not marketed well and their install base is still small due to the high price. its stupid to spend money on marketing a game on a console that has a ridiculously high price. 16 million isnt enough people to throw money at to tell them to buy this game, they need to wait till their install base increases so they are actually making use of the money and advertising for a larger audience and...
I like coming here for the news and the comments. What I don't like is how easy the site has made it for fanboys to silence anyone, no matter how rational, that disagrees with their words. Sure there are people that genuinely deserve the loss of bubbles and such, but true objectivity is punished more so than the irrationality.
We ALL love video games and that's why we're here. I do, of course, understand that some people want to justify their choices in console, but ignoring obj...
I understand that, but the reality here is that these people are fighting back and forth about something so unimportant and that won't affect them. Neither console is in danger of losing support the way Dreamcast or Gamecube.
Can someone, ANYONE, please tell me why it matters so much if one console outsells the other?
I'm not sure what you didn't like about the graphics but they were pretty amazing.
Well considering that it was being remade so it could be played on the 360 since they couldn't get the emulation right for the original, no it's not "Only on PS3".
This, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and KotOR were the best games on XBOX last gen and in the best of the best overall. SOOOO glad this is still coming out and now as a full campaign.
HAHA, GTABORE? That's great...hahahhaha...wait. No.
2 disagrees about warranties? Do they not have them in your neck of the woods?
This is the game I'm looking most forward to next year.
You're the first person that has said anything about it being 5 hours of gameplay...Most have said it would be at least 10 which is what most full-priced games are running these days and $40 more.
I played it 2 weeks ago and there were still plenty of people playing it online. As for the single player? How the hell could you possibly know that? And even they aren't, that doesn't mean people won't pick up the DLC. I know I'll be an I haven't touched the single player game since June.
Actually, the original XBOX was better than the PS2 and you're talking to someone who was about as against MS getting into the console game as the most retarded fanboy....Yes, I was a retarded fanboy. It had better graphics and a hard drive which made load times a lot shorter. It may not have had more exclusives but it was definitely the better hardware last gen.
The Wii isn't competing for the same market as the 360 and the PS3. So, no, it doesn't count. Look at Nintendo's holiday line-up. Wii Music, which is TERRIBLE and Animal Crossing...Seriously? It may be a game console but that's like comparing a new Daughtry album sales to Kanye West. Sure they're both music, but they're not competing for the same market.
See, it's not just a price thing. People want games and as of right now Sony doesn't have a Gears of War or a Halo (both games I'm not huge fans of) that most people want. They seem them as "must play, cool" games. Almost literally to "fit in". A lot of people buying those systems want those games. Couple that with a superior online, and yes, I play both and I prefer Live to PSN AND price, then you have MS winning strategy. Personally, I'd LOVE to have Sony get to where MS...
To the guy that said he needs to buy another 360 because they break down every six months...I wonder if he's aware of this "new" thing called a "WARRANTY" in which he wouldn't have to spend that much money and could replace his 360 for 2 years?
I remember seeing pics of the first Uncharted in GameInformer and saying to myself "Ok, now I'm jealous of the PS3". When I got my PS3 it was the first game I played and have since played through it 4 times. I also loved the DVD like extras about the making of the game. It was pretty much a no-brainer that a sequel would happen so this isn't a surprise to me, but I'm excited as hell to read the article.
I'm a little worried about them adding stealth to this. Unless the ...
One the best games I've ever played gets a sequel...Awesome.
The game is done. Why hold on to a game that you know you won't be playing again? Sorry, but some games just don't have replay value. If you want to blame this on anyone, blame the developers for not making a game worth keeping.
Also, not everyone has the income to buy the $60 games they want. This year it was practically 2 games a week since October that I wanted. Trading in allows those people to get a new gaming experience without paying full price. There is absolutely NOTHING...
Charging for Live is anything but a mistake. It sells well, works great and has over 10 million subscribers. How is that mistake? Because it's not free?
