And this is news how. The system has 8gb ram, and obviously needs some of it to run at the very least the OS.
Technically this will be reason more to purchase the PS4 over the NextBox since PS4 has more studios to develop exclusive games. What this implies is that PS4 will have most of the games the the Next Xbox has in addition to its exclusives from its first party studios.
So now five months later the twitter picture is news? I just took a shit in the toilet. Im releasing a new chocolate candy bard, could it be? Alert the press that picture of my shit 5 months ago could have been a prototype for my new candy bar.
Pretty sure most people with a PS3 looking for a baseball game will buy the show.
I understand that. I guess I was speaking more to the topic. How or why would someone write about such a topic with virtually no information about the next generation of consoles. Not to mention they are marketed to different demographics. No it's not journalism, yes it's a fan site, but how many people will actually differentiate from the two?
Did a 12 year old write this? The dumbing down of journalism.
When I am actually in an online game its the most fun I have had with a game in a while. I still wish their was better match making. I don't want to browse matches. Just want to pick a game and put in a full room ready to play.
I guess I do not see the problem. Triple A titles have always had a slew of merchandise. So rather than getting a mouse pad they throw in some DLC. Now it could be argued that they are building the cost into the merch or making a better margin by including something that costs them virtually nothing. But nobody is forcing people to buy the merch and at some point I am sure packs will be avaialable with the DLC.
At this point in the generation I'm not sure why anyone except sony and microsoft care what their sales numbers are. Early on I can see gamers caring, if something flops like the sega saturn you are going to be SOL on quality games, but at this point I couldn't care less.
I guess I don't have a full understanding and have not logged in since the change, but I have 4 ps3's. Do I still have the ability to use the cloud and share game save data to all 4 as well as use netflix? Or does this only allow two of my ps3's sign into my PSN account.
Speaking to the game sharing, if I purchase a piece of content, just as hard media, I should be able to use it on any system in my household.
Why does it say reg 219? Last I checked 160gb were 249
Im losing faith in n4g and wondering why I continue to come back?
lol @ the fucking people saying it's PR because a year later someone will push it further. A year later you will also be able to use new algorithms, refine code, compile code, etc... right now they very well could be pushing the limits. If everything stayed static from a programming perspective would would have never moved past atari morons.
Im making a huge assumption here, but I have two theories to the points system.
I mm guessing when they came up withe the points system, they may have been thinking about the potential of awarding points for in game achievements/milestones/contes ts. With hacking though the possibility.
or
They probably cash in huge on the left over $1 - $2 dollars that never get used.
Do you have inside info to what sony's budget for R3 was and how it relates to sales. I doubt sony will lose money on this game. Here is how it works. You first set projected sales, then you set a budget, then you set a time frame to recoup budget+labor. If you break even it's a success, unless you need to build capital on a game release, which is highly unliikely.. Economics in a nutshell. I could go into it further but quite frankly it seems it would be lost on most.
If their budget was less than r2 and this still profit why would they not make a sequel. Unless they think they can profit more from a new IP with a different budget.
How does anyone here know it wasn't successful? Does anyone have the budget and projected sales numbers? Its all about the bottom line.
No, you can get one for $100 on craigslist, play some games and resell for close to the same.
If anyone cares to listen the game informer guys are on a local weekly video games show on the local sports station at 7 on tuesdays. kfan.com You can podcast it.
All digital is fine as long as the price per game is cheaper. I buy new, sell and buy new again. I have yet to pay over $30 for a game on steam. Also, if Microsoft wants to be all digital, it would be nice if they would allow consumers to use a standard SATA hard drive replacement instead of the over priced proprietarty housed drive in the 360. If they are goin gto require full game installs, I just don't see $500 GB being enough space, considering I have filled a 500 in my ps3 withou...
