Is he complaining that the ending sucked? No. He's complaining that he didn't get all of the endings he was promised. We were promised that every decision we'd made up to that point would've affected the ending. It didn't. We were told that there wouldn't be an Ending A, Ending B, and Ending C... yet there was.
THAT is false advertisement and THAT is what the guy complained about. Not that the ending sucked, but that we were tricked into thinking that ...
I've been looking through the thread and I've observed some stuffz:
1. Most people can't grasp the concept of a FTC complaint being, you know, a DAMN COMPLAINT. Seriously, TONS of the people replying are going, "You shouldn't be taking this to court!" Like, idiots, he isn't. He's complaining about false advertising, not taking it to court. Damn.
2. People who keep saying, "GODDAMN BIOWARE! BURN THEM AT THE STAKE!" c...
Let's face it, BioWare killed a HUGE amount of it's fanbase with their terrible PR, terrible ending that basically made the entire trilogy disappointing, terrible money-grabbing techniques, etc.
I said it before and I'll say it again. The BioWare we once knew is dead. They now serve as a pitiful hand of EA...
You SHOULD be placing blame on BioWare as well.
Let's face it, BioWare is EA's baby, more than even The Sims Studio or DICE, or whoever. They have their unique relationship that no other developer has with them. With From Ashes, if BioWare had said, "You know... we aren't feeling too good with that decision. It should just stay in the game," EA would've complied. They wouldn't FORCE them because BioWare wouldn't have the same relationship and...
It looks like Skyrim to me. Art style matches up, as does the blood.
Where in God's name did you pull Gears of War from? I'm assuming that hole of the ass variety.
Uncharted 2's aiming was perfect, in my opinion. It was so silky smooth. I knew something was wrong with Uncharted 3 immediately, though. In fact, I kept dying so many times just because of the terrible aiming model in UC3. I even went, "Hold on... there's just something strange here. I could've have lost my touch with the DualShock like that, right?", ...
I'm sorry, author, but you are incorrect.
In this day and age, everybody with a scrap of power wants to have control. The corporations are the same way. Ubisoft, for instance, KNOWS that DRM doesn't affect pirates. For games, it would take less than 24 hours to crack the DRM and .exe and upload the game, especially when we have scene groups like SKIDROW, RELOADED, and FAIRLIGHT (Hell, remember when Ubisoft actually used RLD's cracked R6V2.exe?). However, they cont...
GameSpot kicked him out because he posed a threat to their inflow of cash.
Look, if people have a large gaming site, dedicate it to the people who still go through the bullshit and visit the site and comment, etc. Don't let it be controlled by revenue numbers. The gaming press wonders why it's constantly getting bashed. It's due to the large numbers of sensationalist articles, flamebait articles, bribed reviews, and overall low quality that they put out as they tr...
I read a recent user review on Transformers: War for Cybertron which stated something you should think about.
A new IP doesn't have to have a fantastic first game. It just needs to interest people enough where another game can be created.
Just because the first game was bad doesn't mean that they should've just gone, "Well, we failed. I guess it's back to Hitman!". They gave it another chance, it failed the second time, and that was ...
Man, hell if I know. It seems no one in the world can figure out what is acceptable and what is not.
The way I see it, if you know your kid well enough to know that he won't overreact by trying to grabbing tits and murdering people, let them see violence and tits. I mean, seriously, if he's not going to do anything bad, why punish him?
However, KIDS should not curse. What do I mean by that, exactly? Well, even though I don't actually believe in su...
No, our parents actually understood how we are.
If your child is mentally unstable, yeah, I could understand not getting him games like friggin' Manhunt. But for someone who IS mentally stable (excluding bipolar, but that doesn't make me violent), there's nothing wrong with violent games.
My dad said something long ago that was so damn simple yet so damn important. "You can play any game you want (he wasn't talking about AO games, people)...
Is it me or is Blizzard just bloodletting itself?
WarCraft has gone to an MMO. That'd be fine, but with every patch and expansion, it's gotten easier and easier. It's now very noob-friendly.
StarCraft has taken a hardcore RTS experience and made IT more casual (More on this in a bit).
Now Diablo is getting this stupid new treatment. Out with the classic gameplay and art-style and in with the crappy new.
My brother...
Well, what's with all the Jaffe hate? Seriously, people these days are obnoxious, self-centered prats who would be bitching until the day they died if people dissected everything they said the way "journalists" and Jaffe-haters do.
Think about this, okay? He said that Uncharted could expand its gameplay mechanics. GameRevolution spun it into an "OH, LOOK, JAFFE HATES UNCHARTED!" article. This would annoy me since my words are being spun. It would annoy...
What? Alpha Protocol ended up getting rushed because Sega wouldn't stop jerking them around. Fallout: New Vegas was buggy because Bethesda gave them two years to create a world, fill it with NPC, fill it with quests, implement new gameplay features, implement new items, redo the Armor system that Bethesda killed, get the voice acting put in, AND make it as bug free as possible.
And, what're you gonna say next? Neverwinter Nights 2? That was a great game, just as the f...
This is terrible. After all the games made through Black Isle to Obsidian, these guys are my favorite developers. Seeing them lose a good 20 - 30 employees is sad, to say the least.
I have a feeling that this Project North Carolina isn't a Fallout game, though. It'd be nice to have them work on the next Fallout game like they should.
Stay strong, Obsidian. :D
I take FOX's conservative views seriously. I don't take their views on gaming seriously, because those are pathetic views.
But, you know, thanks for just insulting anyone who has a different political opinion than you.
Yeah, let's face it. Siskel is the one we cared about. I haven't ever given a single piece of fur on a rat's ass about Ebert and I'm sure a decent amount of others haven't either. He can't make movies, he can't critique movies, and he CERTAINLY can't critique games. This man still thinks Mario and TMNT (NES days, of course) when he thinks of video games.
Seriously. He just blows.
Look, I loved BioWare since the days of the Infinity Engine to the first Dragon Age game. Personally, however, BioWare is no longer what BioWare was to me. Mass Effect and Dragon Age 2 show that the company is trying to modernize their games, but aren't great at doing so (WHY IS THE DAMN CAMERA HUMPING MY CHARACTER'S BACK? Where are my damn RPG elements?!).
They should've always stuck with true RPGs. To think how alive the CRPG genre would still be if BioWare had ...
I have to agree that they could've expanded upon the transformation ability a lot more, but that doesn't really change the fact that it's a very solid action game. The Transformers aren't, as you say, "dull," they're loyal to the behavior of the Transformers from the show. The textures weren't of the highest quality but the art style was exceptional, the voice acting top-notch, etc.
I wasn't even a fan of the show until well after I played...
Well, I'm going to ask you a question... are you retarded? I'm not saying you are, I'm just asking so you can answer that...
If you can't READ to see WHAT he filed a complaint about, don't both posting. Hint: It wasn't that the endings weren't satisfying. It was something else altogether.
