There are way more factors than just gameplay that makes games great. I'm a good 40 hours into the witcher on ps4 and I have not encountered a single bug that ruins the experience in any way.
And horrible dialogues? I actually find the dialogues to be superior to any rpg I've played. The dialogue is actually beliavable for once.

Agreed, I actually think it is far beyond Skyrim. The characters are believable and for the first time I care about doing side quests because of the story and not because I need exp or a certain item/reward.
It has a steep learning curve in terms of both comprehending the universe/story and gameplay but once you're past that the game is incredible.

To me it might be up there with my favourites TLOU, RDR and Zelda.

They know how to DLC right, so I'll definitely give them my money.

That may be, but they still might show something new from Team Ico, Level 5 and Sucker Punch. So hope is not lost!

Bring it! New fallout, elder scrolls, news and release dates for KH3 and FFXIV, more info on Uncharted, new red dead, new metroid, star fox, next level 5 game, Mass Effect 4, new infamous or sucker punch ip, Mirror's edge 2, Half Life 3, The Last Guardian, new Banjo Kazooie made like the two first, something Zelda.
Every year my expectations is way too high, but one can only hope.

"(...)as the game is much cheaper all across Europe." What a bunch of BS. €55 here in Norway

You kinda contradict yourself there. If your definition of being top dog is pleasing the majority, Nintendo could likely be the dop dog again as they were with the Wii. The Wii appealed to way more people than PS3 and 360. Most of the dedicated gamers may have chosen PS3 og 360 but there is honestly waaay more casual gamers than hardcore.
Also what you are saying about new things and improvements are not quite true either. I only own a PS4 but I see way more new things and improvemen...

I would wish for nothing more than a square enix comeback. I'm pretty sure they won't screw up KH 3 and FF 15. They may not be the 11/10 games we want them to be but I'm pretty sure they won't be bad.
I'm pretty interested in what they do next though, after FF15 and KH3. I really don't hope they make a bunch of new kh games scattered across multiple handheld platforms, and ff 15-2 and 15-3.

If the cutscenes ruins the pacing of the narrative it is a valid complaint. The reviewer might have meant that the player's experience of the game would have been better if some of the cutscenes were shorter. Though I might disagree myself once I have played the game , but it is a perfectly valid complaint if the reviewer felt that way. It is a subjective matter as with all complaints, so saying it is invalid would be wrong.

I feel pretty sure that Zelda is going to be delayed too. Also I doubt Starfox will be released before Zelda -as previously said- if Zelda comes out this year.

What have they changed or removed? I haven't really been following the game too closely until now so I'm just wondering.

Agreed, I think people/reviewers put too little weight on stories in games. I often find a game's story to be what makes me complete a game.

As long as you feel the narrative can outweigh the lack of freedom/gameplay you are going to love The Order. I'm having a blast with it myself and I think that games today put too little focus on well written stories. To me The Order's limitations only enhances the narrative.

I just finished The Order and I agree with the score. But this game is not for everyone. I think the order actually fits a really small audience. Most reviewers complain about the lack of freedom but imo the orders restrictions only enhances the narrative.

I always think that a game with a good narrative weights up for the lack of gameplay. I often find the narrative to be what drives me to complete the game. As an example I never could finish Far Cry 4 because the story was...

I don't think any other FF character would look less cosplay/j-pop group ish in this game. The environment and the characters look so real so the fantasy elements doesn't blend in as well as in other jrpgs. At least that is my look at it. But it looks like the game will be marvelous either way so I don't really care that much.

What game had this kind of gameplay in the 90's? I love that FF takes this direction. It is a lot similar to Kingdom Hearts and Crisis Core which is brilliant games. I love Xenoblade and I have played it for hundreds of hours but i would never say that it has evolved the JRPG.
Why can't you admit that this looks completely awesome or at least good?

You could always buy a Wii U. Not kidding.

Kirk Hamilton is a trust worthy reviewer. But it may be that you don't agree with his taste, as games offer individual experiences and are therefore subjective. The Order has 65/100 out of 51 reviews and still you bash the reviewer for criticising the game.

The fanboy is strong in you. I suggest you take a chillpill and buy yourself a Wii U. Maybe then you realize that games can be more than just photorealistic showcases.

(For the record: I do love Naughty Dog's and Quantic Dream's games and I only own a PS4.)

4014d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I don't own a Wii U yet but I have owned a PS4 since its launch. PS4 specs are definitely better than Wii U but I think that cartoony games made by Nintendo looks better than those of the PS4. Wind Waker HD and SSB looks way better than Knack and LBP 3 as an example. So my point is that specs is not all, you actually need talented game designers to utilize the machine's full potential.

But my big question is why you bash the Wii U? Ps4 definitely has the best hardware...
