Hopefully indie titles will help fill the Wii U with more diversity than Nintendo tends to put out, but I also expect mid sized publishers to put out some compeling stuff over the next couple of years as well if the install base starts to grow. Right now the Wii U is the cheapest next gen console to develop for so any company that can't pour 60 million into a console game is going to need somewhere to go. There were alot of cult titles and unique games that came out of the Wii due to low...
No, I think Nintendo's still looking for a company. They do mention that the N has a considerable supply on hand already though.
PS4U?
Shut up and pay $50 for Forza cars.
Shut up and pay $30 for the promise of DLC.
Shut up and pay $60 for F2P microtransactions in retail games.
Shut up and pay just as much for digital as retail.
Shut up and spend spend spend spend spend!
You could say that about every game with DLC.
Only critically acclaimed games? *Only from PS3?*
Well that's the end of my hype for Gaikai.
You do realize what your suggesting is what Sega did. That worked out real well...
Not more exclusives just exclusives. X, Bayo 2, Wonderful 101, ZombiU, all of Nintendos franchises and any other exclusives that come from 3rd parties.
Thank you for paying attention to gaming history :) I would add that the GC and N64 were the most powerful machines of their generation and were steadily outsold by the "weaker" hardware.
How about...
1. Way less microtransactions
2. Backwards compatibility with Wii discs AND Virtual Console AND controllers
3. More (and mostly better) games than the new systems (for now)
4. Free online
5. A second screen experience that works which doesn't involve juggling an iPad and a controller
and...
6. Less bugs/glitches for most games
7. Lots of indie support
8. At least $100 cheaper AND it comes with a game <...
Stories like this make me really glad to own a Wii U. I have free online if I want it, I have BC with all Wii games AND VC games and this microtransaction BS is almost non existent. At the same time, the systems value is constantly shot down and forgotten about which is a real shame. With the lower production costs on the Wii U to make games and a mindset that gives indies the power to bring games to the platform easily they have a business model that is focused on reducing costs for the indu...
Someone give this guy a copy of Fighter Within!
"Meijer will knocked the Mario bundle down to $279.99 on Black Friday while throwing in a $30 coupon good for your next purchase at the store."
Closest I could find to a $250 deal :/
You have alot to look forward to :)
Do not disassemble Johnny U!
Or buy Resogun and Dead Rising 3 and support good exclusives ;)
So...... Vectorman? Maybe not...
Looks like we're not running out of milk anytime soon...
I bought it for 360, then for PS3, and now that there's a patch I'll buy it for pc too. Finally, a game my pc can run!........... maybe.........
Of course no one wants to play old games on their new systems! That's why Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, ZOE, SH 2&3, Metal Gear, FFX & X-2, Muramasa, God of War, Kingdom Hearts, every PS1 and 2 game on psn, Star Fox 64, Mario, Wii VC catalog, Halo, FF IV, FFV, Chrono Trigger, Shining Force, Castlevania, Sonic, Deus Ex HR, Ninja Gaiden, Street Fighter, Dragon Quest, Breath of Fire and MANY others have never been repurposed and sold again on anything outside of their original console...
