Bioware says next Bioware game is amazing.
Yeah, no one complained at all. That's why there has never been a video game market crash...
Anyone else think this article is bs? I can't trust news written by 'Scoop Newsman'...
Honestly sounds like some troll article.
Don't forget General Leo in VI, he's 'playable' in the sense that you play as him as he dies...
Your right, if it is a license problem retail copies would be pulled but physical has the second hand market while digital doesn't (at least for now). Downloading it forever on the otherhand isn't going to happen, in 10 years the psn store on ps3 will be gone but those physical copies will still be kicking around.
The thing I'm really upset about for digital AND physical is that in 10 years time all the patches for the game will be gone too...
Yet another reason to be wary of a full digital future
Prime or not, I need a new Metroid game.
Good luck getting her into an online game, League would definately be a good place to start. I've heard they have a pretty good community there. If nothing else there's at least less swearing 12 year olds :/
I'm saving my money for the Tiger system! LCD and 3 frames a second forever!
Then you'll love the next Nintendo handheld! Introducing the......... Hottie Pocket U!
The only handheld with Fire Emblem AND a microwave!
People keep saying the system is only for Nintendo 1st party but their's also alot of indie games coming as well. Between them, Nintendos stuff and some 3rd party there are plenty of reasons to get a Wii U. I think we'll see 40-60 million sold, not the Wii but better than the Cube. And definately not a Virtual Boy......
Very, VERY exciting! I hope they take advantage of the power and maybe go into a new design esthetic, maybe try push the anime designs in different directions (more like a Vampire Hunter D style or even something like Appleseed).
The industry is really starting to become sh!t, the most exciting announcements are now just hoaxes and all the real stuff just makes people Cranky. Yea, see what I did there!?! I'm leaving now....
Your wife, the casual gamer, is slowly starting to become a hardcore gamer. Hating Beyond:TS, being a fan of The Wolf Among Us, getting ALL the collectables in a game (It's Lego, but still!), even 'getting it' about design choices in DC, even hating on COD and Battlefield. By this time next year I could see here doing air juggles in KI and doing a perfect time run on Thief 4 :)
This series of articles has been one of the most entertaining and thought provoking series I'...
Rated Z!?! I'm not old enough to play this :[
Those ideas sound awesome.
' I dare a developer to release a sequel to Freedom Fighters where you play a protagonist from the Middle East who has to kill American soldiers who have invaded his country.'
That game would have NSA personnel EVERYWHERE.
Personally I think this is good news. We'll see a designed and developed game from Yoshida in the future, or at least his attachment to a project where he'll have some creative range. It sucks for Squeenix, but then again it's not like they have created a company that helps foster good and creative ideas and designs.
DK would be the most popular thing to show in America, itls not like they would come out and make a huge announcement for something that isn't in their other market (Japan) as well. It was still a huge failure of a reveal though, even just a little Smas Bros. gameplay or ANY trailer for another game would have been nice. Cranky was already pretty much a guaranteed addition to DK so labeling anything as an 'announcement' is a pretty far leap.
We can all agree something els...
The problem is more than just 'lazy people can buy the levels' it's that these kinds of F2P mechanics exist in full priced retail games AND that these kinds of practices affect game design as a whole. What may have taken 5 hours to unlock will now take 20 or 50 hours - unless you pay. Gaining levels will start taking double the effort - unless you pay. Unlockables become unlocked - when you pay.
These kinds of practices don't take into account progression mechanics, no...
