I completely agree with Nintendo having a big February Direct, lots of footage and announcements. After the bad press they need to come out and impress some people with some surprises. E3 can be saved for what's too far away to even think about but a Direct, now even more so with the recent bad news, is here to get people talking about what's coming instead of about the recent business failings.

Well they've already taken the handheld and console teams and unified them in one building, I'm sure there will be even more done to ensure that releases can come out on a timely schedule. Smash Bros could be the test to see what more needs to be done to guarantee smooth development of the by rid game in the future.

Illusion of Gaia and Actraiser. And everything mentioned above me. And below me. Unless someone says Paladins Quest, screw that game.

That's unfortunate, there could have been some good use put into the gamepad. Maybe Retro is just more focused on bringing it out instead of throwing in controller options :/

Your dads friend had the best worst assignment ever.
"OK Frank, take these quarters and play Altered Beast..."
"WooHoo!"
"And then ask some "patrons" if they think those kids at the Street Fighter cabinet are sexy."
"Oh..."

It seems to me that the violence & debauchery in the arcades calmed down quite a bit going into the mid 90's. Strangely enough in my area it seemed to happen around t...

It seems I've seen some nav controllers on ebay for pretty cheap so if you want to pick one up they're worth looking at. I played Infinite with the move and it was OK, turning with the controller is awkward though
and swinging the Move to melee is a recipe for motion sickness inducing camera craziness while completely missing your target.

My Grandfather used to take me to a pool hall/bar called Jungle Safari that had an arcade in it on Sunday mornings. Being in the South and morning on a Sunday usually meant I was one of VERY few if any kids there so I didn't get about of competitive (or co op) moments but I always had a lot of fun. I played so much Street Fighter II, Captain America, Strider, Dragons Lair, Golden Axe etc etc. The place shut down when I was still pretty young though, apparently there were a lot of fights, ...

Prices have already gone up just not on the MSRP. Between paying for online access, DLC & micro transactions the cost of getting the full package has definitely increased.

I usually either use the preset name or a 'fantasy' version of my own name. If I get a companion like in Dragons Dogma I'll just make something up. My poor pawn wound up being called Sugar Feet and looking like a female version of a titan goon from Batman.

I have no problem with reviewers giving a game a score different from the norm, reviews are partly opinion with games and opinions will always differ.
My problem with reviews now is that the technical aspects of a game are almost completely ignored. How many games have released as buggy messes in the past 3 years but have received glowing reviews from almost all major and usually even minor reviewers? Skyrim on PS3, at release, barely worked after 15 hours of play but was given great ...
