As a person who is just a gamer, I don't find any fault in this article. You might not like the article, but this piece is just stating the facts. I don't see the reason to call the writer a hater. Every last statement he listed was fact and happened.

Sadly, I think M$ did too much damage. I think at best M$ will get a 60/40 split Sony leading. PS4 will also be distributed in more countries during the initial launch window which M$ is slating for next year and then also take in mind some places probably won't see a launch at all.

I would have to say in this economical climate in America I think more people will get a PS4 at a $100 price difference over the XBone.
M$ can't undercut Sony no matter what they do. Unless they decide to remove the Kinect and Blu-ray drive. Which they cannot do, since even in the current gen there were spacing constraints.
If Sony is only making a $25 profit/PS4 @ $400, M$ has to be making probably $10-15 profit/XBone @ $500. If that since they are scrapping some features they were previously implementing. That's R&D money down the drain.
Don't worry M$ will do a 180 on this too and all will be well in the world ;).
The giest of it is, Bungie will start offering different kinds of merchandise for Destiny. LIke they made Halo toys, apparel, gaming headsets and accessories.

The only fan/customer feedback M$ listened to were the amount of pre-orders. I bet you $100 if their pre-orders weren't so lacking they would not have changed anything previously announced.
I want to play Backlight: Retribution, PlanetSide 2, DCU Online, Secret Ponchos, Warframes and OddWorld.

I think it's funny. One thing I have to say about Sony, when they commit they commit. People said the Blu-ray was a joke, Sony backed it said it was the future, even as PS3 sales were garbage stuck to their guns and Blu-ray won the format war.
I hope the particle effects will be insane for Hoth. That's really the map I would want to play on.
You guys wouldn't recommend it to us console RPG players? I heard it was pretty good. A loot grinder, but still fun.
Same pre-ordered: PS4+KZSF+extra controller GameStop Bundle, AS4, Watch Dogs, KZSF, BF4 and Destiny. Was going to get the Watch Dog Bundle, but Amazon didn't have a Watch Dog bundle at the time and GameStop did, but Amazon offered better bonuses with the gun and outfit.
Publishing doesn't mean anything. Mass Effect was published by M$ also back in 2007. Hell Tales of Vesperia and a few games had the Only on XBox tramp stamp on them and they weren't.
So don't hold too much stake in who publishes a game, when it's not a 1st Party Studio.

PS4, PS3 Slim and XBox360 Slim/Elite ... I always hated the design of the cartridge based consoles.
Honestly, I think the PS4 is the sexiest console.

This part is exactly what I am thinking, better read the TOS before starting up that console. Might be a part in there stating they can turn on certain features inside of the system hardware at anytime.
