I think most people preferred Origins over 2. It should be interesting. I hope they go back to an open world exploration system like in DO:A. I think they should take some pointers from Dragon's Dogma with boss battles.
I think if they can combine the good part of DA2(combat), remove quick travel, a new art style and the DA:O (storyline, Grey Wardens, multiple cities and villages and open world adventure) ... they might have a great game.
It's only character art, you have to wait until you actually see running characters. They will probably be using the DA2 animation style. I really hope they take the feedback that the community gave for DA2 when making DA3. Honestely like most people I was disappointed with DA2.
I think that's a blend of what they were going for. I want to see all the environment kills and can't wait to see how much you can really do in this game. I just hope the main story isn't bland.
The fast travel is during your second play thru, you get to put down multiple portcrystals.
While a well written article, I only agree with the bigger plot idea.
Things that I would love to see in DD2;
- Difficulty +NG
- Better, longer & bigger plot (DD is far too short, they overloaded it with side missions, but the main plot is very short)
- New/more balanced classes
- More sub & boss monsters (as mentioned before there are THOUSANDS of goblins and saurians, hardly no griffins or dragons)
- Newer inventory & enh...
It's a big difference in the tone of the game from SR1 & SR2 to SR3. I loved SR1 & SR2, liked a lot of SR3 (the intro, payback missions and art style) but, it was a huge change from the 1st 2 games.
@ bubblebeam
Bethesda compensate PS3 owners? (in a just world maybe) They probably feel PS3 owners should just be greatful to be getting anything. I'll believe the patch is coming to the game once I see it until them it's all a rumor.
That would be a great idea. All compnaies should sell their pre-order bonuses 30-60 days after game launch and price depending on the level of DLC.
I have done that before and the griffin fell into the ocean while it was trying to fly away.
I agree the game isn't hard, even on NG+. The biggest challenge in the game is farming for good loot in the Everfall. Besides that the game is pretty easy, maybe they might add a hard mode.
I would rather them come out with a multiple save slot feature like other RPG's have. No matter what it's still one of the best RPG's that has come.
It probably will be, because that's the only reason I can see them announcing that. It should be pretty interesting to see how that plays out. Some of the kill moves look brutal, I might have a hard time passing those perfect moments up just to get an award atleast on the 1st play thru.
@ Dark_Overlord ... I never thought about that one, I guess all you need is a region specific gamesave and it should unlock the DLC
I pre-ordered my copy after seeing it in some E3 gameplay videos. I was the opposite I heard about the games killer action, like a John Woo movie. However, I haven't really heard much about the storyline. Good read.
That's exactly what I am doing right now ... lol
It will disable some trophies supposedly
Agreed "The Ugly" should have been about the technical issues (horrible camera) and missing features (multisaves).
Honestly, I am rather shocked that Capcom aka "The King of Fighters" aka "ZombieLords" ... created such a great RPG. Great read.
It's funny they really haven't had many blockbusters this cycle. Most of their games this cycle have had average reviews, yet they want a new console. I just think they want a do over.
They speak about the current console lifecycle ... I want to hear some news about FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII!!!! Will the real slim shady please stand up.
I was thinking the samething yesterday, I was trying to climb the Ur-Dragons back and find a certain spot but the camera angle was just horrible. I couldn't see what I was doing unless I inched a little.
What's Needed:
1. Better story
2. Better camera
3. Multi-saves
4. Bigger more vast environments
5. Real Expansion packs/DLC
6. More monsters
7. Mounts
8. Bigger monsters
9. Difficult...
They probably are, trying to see how many people would want it. If it's a success they will probably FFVII and have 3 or 4 sequels
And they didn't use lube ... I mean wow talk about a one sided fight
