Ummm it's only been out with the launch stock. Which was limited so of course it's not showing signs of slowing down, there is not enough stock. Nintendo indicated that it will ship 2 million world wide by end of March so that means it sold less than 2 million worldwide. And claiming it sold better than the wii in USA doesn't mean anything since ...

RROD was one issue. Only one. That Microsoft promptly fixed. They lost a lot of money but they stayed true and fixed the consoles even out of warranty.
On the other hand nintendo switch has about 10 major issue. No word or statement from nintendo. And Nintendo updates their Web page saying deadpixels are not covered and are normal. That's why.
Because nintendo fans have Stockholm syndrome and will accept anything nintendo does.
If you put the blu ray backwards the blu ray spits it back out. That's what you call good design and well thought out. In this case it slides in easily but is hard to come out. It's a design flaw that someone overlooked. Signs of a rushed and not well thought out console.

I'm surprised by horizon's intriguing story. It pulls you in and you just want to keep playing to uncover the mysteries surrounding everything. From her birth to how the machines took over to the new corruption and why the evil tribe exists and etc.
Given nintendo's track record. A price drop is unlikely. Nintendo wiiu didn't drop price even till the last day on shelves.
Hopefully their failure means a company like Sony or Microsoft buys them and incorporates their studios together to make the ultimate platform.
But you do, to justify a $399.99 (canadian money) console. When a $299.99 (ps4) does all of it and more for a cheaper price.

They need to demand better. I'm demanding better by not buying their products anymore. That's the only way to vote with companies. By not buying their products they go and try to change it or make it better. If people keep buying it then they see no need to change.

You hit the nail on the head. All my friends who are now ps4/pc gamers that I grew up with, have had a nintendo system in the past. And everyone of them have fond memories of Zelda, Mario and donkey Kong. And your right statistically most if not all older gamers have owned a nintendo console in the past.
Im on the same boat as you PAPABOB, I am 29 years old. My brothers and I, grew up with nintendo and sega. I don't know how else to prove it to these guys.
Even tho I'm 29 I am still and always will be a gamer. Hence why I am on this site following gaming news even in my age. I will hopefully never grow out of gaming, but I have grown out of nintendo.

I grew up with Nintendo, and bought all their consoles and games. I even bought wii, but the wii was the final straw.
They left their core fans behind in search of the mainstream. They appeal to them more and constantly screw over the fans that got them to where they were (on top, as leaders of the industry).
