I really think that the Series S will hold back games as well. Sure it's not a 4K machine, but you know they're still going to mention it. They have mentioned upscale already. But even so, 4TF is far less than the other next gen consoles.
I agree I don't feel like the Series S is doing much for next gen either. The video released about it has a lot of PR talk but I'd like to see the real world application. The memory is half of the other 2, GPU is hampered, and storage is going to be an issue for an all digital console.
Because it's PSU lol.
I know personally I was hoping to hear about the PS5 today. I guess I'll just give up and hoping for it and just see it when it comes.
AAAA is something I'll have no part of. It's either raising prices or micro transaction and season pass heavy like many of the games I've already been staying away from.
@Rude
Exactly. I guess for those that buy it but it won't be me. I haven't bought a Ubisoft game all gen
Tflops certainly don't change just because something new is out. I'm curious to see analysis of games now between the 3 next gen systems and how the compare
@Neo
Watched the video. It still leaves a lot to the imagination. Lots of PR. Will have to see what happens I guess
I'm just wondering what kind of compromises there will be on next gen games considering this is "only" a 4TF machine. That's quite a gap from the PS5 let alone SX. The value seems to be great though especially since now you can get EAA with Game Pass as well.
I think in this instance MS did it to tout 120fps. They love talking numbers after all. Unless it involves consoles sold
I know I'm curious to see what the PS5 price will be. Hopefully it's soon.
@gaming
Just curious why you need to be off to preorder. Good luck though. I don't need or have time for 2 consoles.
The mess that I see is the confusion of being "next gen ready" at 1/3 of the power. Parents can easily look at all the buzzwords like 4K and 120fps and think they're being smart. Especially since the price is cheap. Who knows, but I can see where there would be confusion
I actually liked this game. It looked good but I don't think that that was really as good as they made it seem. The multiplayer was fun too. I played it on PS3.
If it really is 4TF I'd wonder how it can provide such a next gen experience considering how much more the other options offer. The price is nice, but what are they sacrificing? They claim ray tracing, 4K and 120fps like the Series X and PS5, but offers a lot less power to do so.
Wow so the $300 was true. I suppose this will make next gen more interesting in a sense. That's a good price for those that care about it
I stopped last gen with those 3 publishers as well. All I bought "recently" was Watch Dogs, Battlefield 4, and Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. The first one was an obvious blunder on my part. Worst purchase this gen. I was very unimpressed with BF4 and I was really hoping to give another shot. Sekiro isn't like the COD games or anything like that. The game is tough though. It seems cool, but that's the only Activision I've bought since early PS3 days
Wow, and I thought the NFL was getting bad
I know I'm getting annoyed with the lack of info too. We should know everything by now. I wish this game of chicken didn't exist. I personally don't care one way or the other what the price is. I'll buy a PS5 regardless.
@Neo
So you're claiming that AAA is based off metacritic? That's quite funny.
@Kruss
As it's designed? It has limitations like anything else regardless of what PR tells you.
