Looking forward to checking this out later today. I unfortunately didn't get home until late last night and didn't find out that the store was back up until I was already busy with Fable 3.
Interesting. I'll have to check out some of this guy's stuff!
Although my list would be way different and wouldn't include most of these, they're not bad choices. I can't think of anything about Resistance that makes it the least bit unique, though.
It's a puzzle game, yes, but it's also a first-person game in which you shoot a gun, which I think qualifies it as an FPS. A game doesn't have to fit into only ONE genre.
Oh yeah, there are definitely plenty of good reasons for these to be made. It's just that I prefer to get the originals whenever possible (I'm just weird like that), so these HD remakes don't particularly excite me even though they look a lot better.
Yes, I remember them saying it should be up by the end of the month.
I dunno, I've never really cared about HD updates. I have a couple, but I don't feel like I'm gaining anything by having a prettier game. It's definitely convenient to have a series packed together on one disc, though.
I do. It looks NOTHING like the original, but I kinda don't care.
Music and technology are very different, though. Technology is something that constantly grows and improves while music is entirely about taste. Yes, improvements are made, but some of the oldest known music is still listened to by many people because it works the same way as new music. But how many people still use AOL 4.0 or Friendster? As long as people are able to play it, there will still be WoW fans for years and years, but it will eventually no longer be the "Big Kahuna"....
That's certainly good to hear. I'm hoping it will be more like the Mafia games. Those give the impression of being like GTA, but they're much more enjoyable.
I've never cared for these card games, but out of curiosity, I just might check it out on the PC.
Definitely looking forward to this. I'm not keen on the GTA style of gameplay, but I'm sure I'll get over it. This is next on my list as soon as I finish my current game.
WoW will eventually crumble. Nothing lasts forever in the online world. One day, WoW will be a thing of the past. Facebook will be gone, Twitter will be gone...hell, even Google and Wikipedia might be gone. As always, everyone will move on and relentlessly mock the remaining stragglers.
Bias can't be avoided, which is why I usually stick with reviews on Amazon rather than being loyal to a couple of review sites.
I'm expecting this to eventually go the way of Guitar Hero. Can't say I'll lose any sleep over it.
I have to admit that the misuse of terminology has been bothering me somewhat as well. How the meaning of the word has become so misconstrued over the years is beyond me, but to those of us who enjoy a challenging or clever hack now and then, it's making people sound like idiots.
I think this will be a lot better than L4D...I just wish we could expect something that reflects what we saw in the first trailer.
You know, I actually agree with these picks. The first two aren't super important, but I am really looking forward to seeing how they turn out. ME3 is a must-have for sure. Battlefield 3 is exciting because we've already waited about 6 years for this game. Bad Company and the other spin-offs are cool, but the main series needs some love too. However, I still wish more than anything that they would bring Battlefield 2142 to the consoles. That's the best online FPS I've pl...
I'm having a really hard time getting interested in this game. I mean, it doesn't look bad, but I just don't feel like there's enough to it to make it a must-play. I think it reminds me too much of Team Fortress, which I've never liked.
Gah, trying to make sense of LoZ is too much work. Back in my day, we didn't need continuity! We just did whatever we wanted and everything would reset the next day.
