I can only imagine how boring games would be if the characters had to abide by our rules/laws and deal with the same consequences. It's just like the idea of making Tom & Jerry more realistic...there'd only be one cartoon!
I'm quite interested in seeing what this new partnership leads to.
I'm sure someone would be happy to give you a list of challenges to complete in the game, which would give you the same experience as unlocking trophies.
I'm a bit curious to know how this all worked. Were they promised a certain amount of money from advertisers by meeting their goals?
I agree to an extent, but I think it's mostly due to neglect. Nintendo has placed so much focus elsewhere that Wii seems to be getting so little support lately. Perhaps this is their way of convincing people to upgrade to the Wii U when it comes out. "Come on over to Wii U, everybody! This one has games!"
I'd like to see Majora's Mask face off against The Mask.
"no trophies no buy"? You're kidding, right? I can't imagine how a little number/icon next to your name can factor into whether or not you buy something. You don't gain anything by having them, you don't miss out on anything by not having them...they are essentially non-existent.
Looks halfway decent. I don't enjoy JRPG's nearly as much as I used to as a kid, due largely to the lack of actual roleplaying, but I'm always willing to give one a go. Of course, in this case, I'll probably start with the first one.
If it helps, we're not getting anything decent in the US either. I was hoping to get some use out of my free PS+ trial, but it's just one big joke.
This is the 8th game in the main series, with another one on the way. There are also three spin-offs, one for the arcade and two for cell phones.
FF has 14 games in the main series, but there are about 40 spin-offs and sequels, plus the 20 or so re-releases, compilations, and updates.
Agreed. SH2 is still one of the creepiest games I've played.
The Gears 3 beta was also more exclusive than this. Yes, a lot of people had access to it, but most PS3 gamers have access to the U3 beta.
Very nice. Definitely looking forward to getting my free copy from House Party!
Let's not forget about fishing and farming; those show up in a lot of games!
Can't wait to try this out for myself.
This has never happened ever in the history of anything.
Interesting, though I can't quite say I'm sold on this.
I'm both curious and put-off by this.
Then you'll probably love the new Serious Sam. Have you seen the trailer for that yet? It's so weird seeing an HD video game with old-school gameplay. It almost looks like it hasn't changed at all!
It clearly needs better weapons.
