For what it's worth, Harry, I'm completely on your side. The characters have always been a little cheesy, but FF13 was downright ridiculous. It was also way more linear than previous games. Does anyone else miss the world map? And a good storyline? And likable characters? FF13 was an extremely run-of-the-mill JRPG that didn't stand out in any positive way for me and the demo for FF13-2 seems even worse. I hate to say it, but I think the magic of Final Fantasy is gone.
I hear almost nothing but praise for this game, but I still have a really hard time seeing any appeal to it. I'll just have to rent it sometime, I guess.

I really wasn't expecting to hear so many people say such positive things about this game. I guess I'll eventually have to give in and just play the damn thing.
You know, I have a hard time seeing Dead Space as survival horror. I get so used to everything going on that it ends up really losing its edge. Still a good game to play around Halloween time, though.
CS is great and all, but I'm not really looking forward to this. I think it's going to be dumbed down too much.
Honestly, I lost interest in the franchise about halfway through MGS2.
