It's the fifth console from Sony, hence the V. PSV. So they obviously tried to find the best work that started with a V, and Vita was probably some of the least dumbest ones.
Or at least that's what I like to think.
It is completely different than the PSP though. Different format, touch panels, 3G, etc. Calling it PSP2 would only make direct comparisons when Sony's only trying to leave it behind...

I work in the gaming dpt at a Best Buy and I haven't seen anything for this once. I know there are services for cameras/SLRs but thats more for training than installing. Not a thing for games that I know of
And if the article is referring to the pic that was on here a few weeks back they established it was a PC case with the sticker left on. Which would make sense if you think about it..

And I don't mind it if this rumor is true...I mean, if it's completely different than the PSP (Which it pretty much is) that takes care of PSP2. Vita is short, somewhat catchy. I just hope it somehow ties into the system in some way, and not just a weird name

I've loved the concept of OnLive since it was first announced. Tons of great features, but there are two things that have always prevented me from getting it.
One is me not being that big of a PC gamer (though I'm sure it would be fairly easy to get used to) and the shitty connection/lag problems I've read from it. Which bums me out.
I know people are gonna hate when I say this, but I'm rreeaallyy hoping Sony, or hell even Microsoft or Ninten...
I think it's less about the current credits being applied to purchases and more about the current generation of gaming.
The Wii 2 (pending) is whats really pushing all the hype. But I don't think we'll see drastic price cuts anytime soon.
For Sony's sake they gotta hit E3 HUGE after the PSN debacle. I think setting a new price point will encourage people to finally get on board and their Welcome Back plan should give customers a nice confide...

I was able to snag infamous off of the PlayStation RLS site for pretty much $10. That's a great price. And not only would it be a free, full retail game, but it would also work as free advertising towards Infamous 2.
Would it be a smart move? Absolutely. Will it happen? Eh, probably not...But there's always a possibility.

10 years since MGS2 originally launched on PS2. I really don't think anyone cares much for exclusivity (of these titles) anymore.
