not disagreeing or anything. I prefer Battlefield over COD any day of the week. But isn't this the "Lean and Peek" system that was in Killzone 2-3 and Shadowfall?
seems to think so. In fact it say PS4 will dominate all the way to 2018 maintaining 55% market share. These are analyst projections. So initially, yes. But only time will tell if Sony can maintain their lead.
so let's try to keep some perspective on this. But it's impressive none the less.
@admiralvic,
Uhh, PS4 does indeed have HDCP because (like ps3) it has a bluray drive. That answers both A and B. Now as far as C goes, neither system was designed around Youtube. Youtube isn't a requirement, it's a preference. You can upload to Facebook, Twitter, Twitch, and Ustream. Twitch captures source material and archives it. It's actually alot better quality than Youtube. Elgato is just one of many alternatives if you really desire "direct" Youtub...
What I find funny is that when John Carmack was asked about which console he preferred out of Xbox360 and PS3, he said Xbox360. He didn't have a problem declaring Xbox360's alleged superiority then.
Now even though PS4 is clearly more powerful than Xbox One, Carmack's response is : " They are pretty much the same." Granted they have similar architecture, PS4 has more raw power. Why is he so reluctant so say PS4 is better?
@VaizardNL,
Here is where people on the neogaf come in handy. The only major difference between PS4's architecture and Xbox One's is the memory and GPU. Everything else is pretty much the same. Sony is having phenomenal yields yet Microsoft is cutting the launch market by over 34%. I sure you remember earlier reports of esRAM causing yield issues. There is no other conclusion you can draw from it.
Bullet points

just as it is on the PS4. People are literally making an issue out of something that isn't one. There are bypasses for this.
http://www.youtube.com/watc...
PS3 direct feed uploaded to youtube.
Stop calling fire when there is no smoke. It wasn't an issue then, and it isn't an issue now.
Elgato PVR just in case people were wondering.
by Ablert Penello and Yusuf Mehdi, both who are Microsoft employees. I also remember a Microsoft employee saying: "DRM isn't something that can just flipped on and off like switch." Yet here were months later and no DRM. Microsoft has proven more than anything that their words cannot be trusted. "Specs on paper don't matter." Yet all we've been hearing are number trying to paint their machines as "just as good as" PS4.
This is just for the American market.
Well all of them planning on heavily supporting the indie scene this time around. microsoft had some policies that made it a little harder to bring indie titles to their platform without some kind of deal being made. Luckily, they loosen the rope a little. But yeah, all the companies are supporting the scene a lot more this generation compared to the previous one.
...bring back some reboot of old Killzone 2 MP maps like they did in Killzone 3
that ps4 wasn't for japanese gamers based off their line-up. Xbox One doesn't seem to offer anything for Japan's gaming market. At least PS4 are bringing some Japanese centric games by the time it launches (check SCEJA press conference). The same thing cannot be said for Microsoft's Xbox One.
If their selling it a $100 stand alone, it would be a drop in the bucket to integrate it into their TV. As far as people's knowledge, that's where advertisement comes in. PSVIta's OS does everthing and more the bravia UI does only better. USB SD card readers are like $10. The push would be that all you need to do is take your controller in the next room and you're able to remote play with PS4. Everything PS VITA TV is advertising minus the box.
will be push is definitely TitanFall. I'm not sure but I also believe Plants vs Zombies 4 was also coming to Xbox 360 and X1. Sony will be pushing Infamous Second Son around the time TitanFall releases. While I don't believe it's a system seller, I hope Respawn's newest IP does well. Killzone will hold me over until Infamous 2nd Son arrives. Warfram, DriveClub, Blacklight Retribution, Rosengun, and etc will fill the void in TitanFalls absence on Ps4.

Unlike 8 days or Agent, we have seen "actual" gameplay from them. It's going to be playable @ TGS. I'm sorry but they announced alot of games @ the reveal. Like you mentioned they showed the same demo @ E3. If it was just to make the ps4 look good then they could have simply waited until E3.
Why are you so adamant that this game won't come to the US? The same thing can be said about Dead Rising for Xbox One using your "logic". You fail to answer why oth...
Then why did Ono fly all the way to New York on February 20th to showcase a game that won't arrive at this market. It's being co developed by SCE. Like I mentioned before Wii U got Monster Hunter, Xbox One received Dead Rising 3, and Ps4 gets Deep Down. Also the both trailers from then and now are in English. Didn't see that with other japanese only ps4 games like Ishin Yakuza.
Didn't know Albert Penello was a developer. I thought he was Microsoft's PR guy. But it honestly doesn't even matter at this point.
Sorry Darthv72,
That is clearly your interpretation of what NatureOfLogic was saying. He's saying that if TitanFall was the "killer App" that some are hyping it up to be, then as an exclusive, Xbox One's preorders would be higher.
I really don't see how you got him being envious from that statement. Seems to me, in his entire statement, you only focused on X1, pre-orders, and killer app. You drew your conclusion based on those three wo...
I said it before and i'll say it again. They're adding the ESRAM (theorectical bandwidth) to DDR3's bandwidth and hardware doesn't work like that in the least. You can take the speeds of 3GB GDDR5 in your GTX680 and combine it's bandwith with your 8GB DDR3 system memory.
Just head over to neogaf, like SNiper said, their destroying his argument. But people have to understand, that it's his job to do this. Man's gotta eat people.
I like this blew up from nothing. PS3 had it and people were still able to capture video via capture cards. HDCP prevents any blu ray (mainly video) from being ripped via capture card. If this is Bluray drives in general and guess what Xbox One has in it, a bluray drive.
