But they are the only ones of the main three not charging for online play. I know they can't compete in this area. They are also the only ones to never charge $400 or more for a game console that I am aware of. I think $350 was their highest.
The level of support from outside publishers dictate the wealth of a platform and Nintendo has proven they only care about themselves. They don't model their hardware or their services from any outside input. Nintendo would rather run the company into the ground than to listen to outside sources suggesting what they should do.
So because of this history of not working well with third party publishers from the early days they have created this stigma that only Nintendo so...
Dudebro is right though, the PS4 won't save the company on its own. That's why Kaz is cutting even more jobs and continues to try and restructure the company. PS4 sales are a small fraction of what's needed to carry Sony through these tough times they have faced for about 10 years now. Go and look back at their stock value prior to 2006 to now.
The PS3 shows how it unfortunately sank previous Playstation profits. They still can't sell the thing for under $200 and it's 8 years old now! On the contrary the PS2 was very profitable for them in the later years.
So why is Sony not abandoning mobile if it continues to lose then money? You also have to understand they don't make much money on the games division and a new game console, the PS5 may be questionable. Sony may end up being a service provider with the...
Well we keep hearing how bad Call Of Duty is but it keeps selling likely due to advertising. But to be fair it also gets lots of good reviews. The vocal minority is likely due to how mainstream the games have gotten and how terrible the online community is. Probably explains why Bungie chose how the communication within the game works.
If anything Nintendo is far more restrictive yet receive way less criticism.
Killzone 2 was great, the others not so much.
Eonjay this isn't a doom article at all. They are just saying not to overhype it like many other games have been because expectations become almost impossible for past games like Destin to reach.
Regardless I'm still excited anytime I see a new game, especially done by a well known development team like Guerrilla. I think this is why both Nintendo and Microsoft get called out on. They simply rely too much on familiar franchises and Sony is known to green light new ga...
It's because of costs and lack of marketing. I find the PC the ultimate gaming experience but piracy and because the PC is an open platform that makes it more risky with less control. Diablo 3 shows there is still a sizable market but they also made that anti piracy which likely helped sales. They talked about the trading for why you had to be online but by doing that it also prevented piracy. Blizzard is also one of the few that can afford to advertise the game.
BitbyDeath, how is the Xbox brand bring treated like a red headed stepchild by Microsoft? If anything having Phil Spencer at the helm shows Microsofts willingness to hear feedback. Acquiring Tomb Raider in a timed exclusive deal where these things costs lots of money now also shows they are Willing to spend money on areas Nintendo and Sony don't seem to want as much. There are no signs of the Xbox One desecrating so where are the signs of this exactly?
What happens after ...
Godmars, Xbox fans should be worried?
Basically what that means is your not an Xbox fan because your directing your comments forward. Which to me means you have no interest in this deal being positive. So let me ask you, should Nintendo fans be worried about the Wii U lack of sales and lack of software? Should Sony fans be worried Sony just announced they forecast yet another 2 billion in losses? A company that might not even exist in a few years or might be reduced to a serv...
Where exactly are you getting that notion it's one or the other? They are still making games with parties like Remedy and Insomniac. What exactly is Nintendo doing? That's why I laugh at how much flack Microsoft gets no matter what they do but yet we don't see nearly as much controversy over what Nintendo is doing.
It's like Sony is doing everything right, Microsoft is doing everything wrong while we ignore Nintendo and what's going on with the PC. Micros...
Well for some people it will be DC and for others FH2 simply because they don't own both consoles. That's why some of the comments need to be taken with a grain of salt. I like most racers.
I think this game will once again be delayed. Sony cannot afford the game to be a non hit. So they will take more time trying to fix some of the issues being mentioned but I think it will always remain a corridor shooter and that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Looks cool so far, can't wait to see what the team can do outside of Killzone
Once the PS4 comes out at we will know for sure who is responsible.
Do we have to constantly act like console warriors? I look forward to both, one isn't automatically better because it's not on another console.
guitarted77, so then you agree it was good for Insomniac to leave Sony and Sucker Punch should follow suit? Critics of Microsoft have said they need to build within and now that they buy Mojang it's bad???
How come some peeps here act like they know how to run a company? Let me get this straight, they spend 2.5 billion on this and now people think that money would have went elsewhere to building up the Xbox One? Buying minecraft has far more repercussions than one system...
Has she ever denied or admitted all the allegations against her? Sorry but I haven't been following this too much as I actually don't really care but am interested in how she defended herself in all of this.
Lack of empathy
Immaturity
The fact they are anonymous with hardly any accountability
Narcissistic behaviour and only caring about their own opinions
Entitlement
Fanboyism and loyalty
These are all issues that pollute forums but happen quite frequently in game forums. Not much can be done about it.
