GribbleGrunger,
"It's absolutely astonishing to see the total disconnect between how gamers are responding to this game and how it's being reviewed."
Total disconnect? You might want to choose your words better since people are still having issues connecting at all 2 weeks after release.
I certainly don't think this game deserves a 5.8 but the game has been a major screw up since it was announced. A full year delay with lots of h...
They are likely considering it because the XB1 install base is still too small and there is still a sizeable market on the X360 that will buy it.

If you want to get into PC gaming build your own, don't pay more just for the name.
Freedom of expression is such a gray area. There has to be some moral code to go where consequences must also take place. If a game is about murdering innocent bystanders that should be allowed under freedom of expression but there should also be consequences for those actions. For the main character to go on a killing spree just for the fun of it what's the point in making such a game when all you are doing is decensitizing the criminal act?

-Foxtrot,
"Or maybe it's just after last year people are still ticked off and are being cautious for the future. I mean it's pretty obvious the majority of the things MS has done lately and Phil isn't because they wanted to but because they had to after last year. Maybe people can see through that and are, as I've said above, being cautious, not believing in something so lightly. I say this though since you brought it up, not me."

A perfect example of console gaming holding back the PC. Then again many Japanese developers don't put in much effort, if at all, into PC gaming. Hopefully that changes soon (Dark Souls wasn't a very good port but Dark Souls II was).
Some of you may not want to hear this but if you want more control of your games like being able to select your resolution and tweak settings to get up to 60 frames per second or even more then invest in PC gaming. It really is your best option but you won't find them spending hundreds of millions of dollars in marketing to get you to buy the hardware.
While PC gaming isn't as convenient at times with the whole plug in and play it has gotten a lot easier to egt into. ...
Hopefully not the last. This is the way development should be, focus on the PC first since it's the most powerful and sacle it down from there for consoles while pushing each as much as they can. It should go like this, PC>PS4>XB1.
The game looks beautiful and is rendering a very large area. You can go into rooms and interact with many other characters. I think more so than even GTA V. I'm not sure we've seen a game yet on this type of scale on the new consoles. Asking for 1080p and 60 frames per second out of these systems is a pipe dream for open world games like this.
I think this is the first time we've seen the PC able to outdate the new systems this quickly. I know which platform I wil...
"Basically Sony rewarded their costumers with content."
And Microsoft wants to reward its customers with games coming out at the same time. Look at how upset fans are of Tomb Raider, they don't want to wait.
Not once did I say I agree with this parity clause. What I am saying is each will do what it takes to not make their hardware to customers and potential customers look inferior. Developers could have said to Sony we don't want to make n...
I don't know of game game that felt better at 30 frames per second to that of 60. We all know the real reason and the author illustrated about Ratchet games. The reason why Insomniac changed from 60 to 30 was because they know better graphics sell more than higher frame rates. So they wanted at the time to push graphics on the PS3. It's the same thing with Ubisoft, they want to push graphics more at the cost of frame rate and consoles alwayes have a certain threshold. Developers will ...
It will be a good racer but like any game first impressions means a lot. What matters more than anything is you like it and that really is all that matters.
Here's what happened, people want to continue to talk mainly just about the graphics. (some are complaining about the jaggies and AA though).
The ai is questionable, the content is questionable, the physics and gameplay is questionable and it's very questionable if you can even get online.
You would think a game that was marketed for it's PS Plus would not have that feature pulled because of online issues. A game that is centered around being onli...
Did everyone know Sony had a parity clause on the PS3? Any game released prior on a competing platform had to have additional content added to it. That's why games like Bioshock that came out a year later had exclusive content. Sony didn't want their syetem to be treated as second best either so they made sure the software that was already released on the Xbox 360 had additional content to make it more enticing for PS3 owners.
It makes sense for the hardware supplier ...

"Forza Horizon already had Forza behind it, just because it was made by a different studio doesn't cancel out the fact the IP has been built up for quite a while. The foundation for Forza Horizon was already there thanks to past Forza games"
And?
It's not like this is their first game ever made. They also made Motorstorm didn't they? So it's not like racing is new or making games is new. Did you cut Crytek this much ...
Peoples history patterns most surely reflect on how much faith others have in their opinions. What's ironic is these people are quick to attach labels to certain review sites, get knee depp in conspiracy theories, all while ignoring their own bias comments that have followed them.
Nintendo doesn't need the most powerful system ,they need a system that can keep up with current third party output. That's where the problem lies. You can't expect them all to support Nintendo's latest gimmicks and they want a system easy to port to. The WiiU came out midterm to that of the Xbox One and PS4, meaning it came out too late to pull people away from the PS3 and X360 and not powerful enough to get games like Witcher 3. So they are in limboland, relying only on excl...

Sounds like they are trying but we'll see.
I don't remember this huge outcry on the first Xbox when we know damn well many just ported the PS2 game and didn't do much else. I guess when you have a system with all the games on it you don't care about a more powerful system that cost the same.
Needless to say they should all be taking advantage of each systems strenghts, not compromising the other so they look the same. It's still not enough to simply ignore a good game because you somehow feel cheated. ...

Taking up a USB slot to listen to music while the dongle sticks out is next gen to you?
