Sony sells PS3 at twice the price of a 360, so they're making a lot of money as sales, double the microsoft console sales in $ since both consoles sell roughly the same worldwide. Simple maths.
Why would they lower the price ? They sold 10 million consoles last year and that was their target. Killing MS console would be nice, but it would cost too much, so buying time is probably the best solution.

Here in France PS3 is worth 600$, but I still bought 2 of them. That's not the way you should compare things anyway... PSP has nothing to do with PS3, one brings HD gaming, the other one brings portability. It's just like apples and oranges.

That's why I never understood MS strategy. Sure, they can survive some years by giving the console for free like they do now, but they can't win until they buy STUDIOS and make GAMES like Sony decided to do. Gamers will always buy PS2s, PSPs and PS3s since that's where the GAMES are.

By the way, here, PS3 sells roughly the same as the 360 worldwide despite being twice more expansive. Quite an achievement, err trophy I mean.
