Just because more people play MW or MW2 don't make it a better game. A lot more people drive Fords than Porches. Doesn't make Ford better.
"The 360 online community does spend more money"
Of course they do. An average of about $50 a year more :p
no, thats an extreme overstatement. $500-600 will build a rig that will play anything, even crysis on high settings (i've done it). And that same rig will play most all games (at higher settings than a console) for a few years, with the exception of games designed to be technical marvels. Anyone who says you have to spend hundreds or even thousands every year or two to keep up with pc games is HIGHLY uninformed.
I took it as percentage of total preorders.
The difference between 60fps and 30fps is a total of 30fps.
Hope that helps :)
Yeah, but the thing that sucks about blu-ray is that you have to put a disk in your player every time you want to watch one...
/sarcasm
There is no problem with the actual software, it all has to do with the installer. They made it a .exe file with two .box files, and not an ISO. So people have had to find work arounds to create a bootable disks when doing clean installs. It involves putting an app in your system folder and running some command line prompts to create an iso, and its a huge pain in the @$$. The software itself is fine, the way they provided it was retarded.
Didn't 1.5.0.10 come out a week ago? why is this guy talking about 1.5.0.9 today?
how is this comment in any way related to borderlands?
I wasted alot of my life on BF2...ah the memories...
That guy in the red hat has a GIANT head.
But the days of "owning" a piece of software are pretty much over. All consumers do now is purchase the rights to use it, and digital distribution basically keeping anyone but the original seller from being able to sell those rights. I know, semantics, but that's the way software companies look at it...just read any EULA's.
Can't find the original source, but here's this...
"What happens when you take four PS3 systems, one copy of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue, and a Sony SRX-110 projector and put them all together? Well, you get one incredible GT experience. At the 10th Anniversary Party in New York City, Polyphony Digital ran an interesting experiment, where they were able to render the game in a glorious 2160p resolution. That's four times the resolution of the current maximum standard for HDTVs:...
This whole comment seems a bit outdated. The 360 has online in more than just "some" games, and the ps3 pricepoint isn't anywhere near $600 now, as well as not having a weak game selection - just to point out a couple flaws in your argument. I'm thinking you copy and pasted this comment from over a year ago?
Any person on a magazine cover is photoshopped to look better than reality...
You do have to start the level from scratch. No checkpoints or save and reloads. You die and start back at the beginning, with all monsters respawned. Any changes you made to the environment or items gathered stay though.
I'm really don't understand why this would matter, unless Amazon sold them for less. I'm under the impression you need a credit card to order things from Amazon, so why not just use the same card in the PS3 Store? I guess unless you are a pay-pal junkie :) That's the only advantage I can see. Feedback welcome.
I'm going to have to disagree with you on that. While the online may not be like other games, it is sill deeply integrated into the overall experience. Bloodstains to watch other peoples demises, co-op throughout when you summon people, and jumping to other peoples games to steal their souls. Yeah, it doesn't have a -MULTIPLAYER- menu option on the front screen, but that doesn't mean its not meant to be, or thrown in as an afterthought.
I think that if the game lets you create your own character, where you pick the overall look, the character shouldn't be voiced. If you had some specific look you were going for, the voice could break that immersion for you if it doesn't fit your character. In a game like Halo or Metal Gear, where you are and will always be master chief or Snake, its fine to give that character a voice, because thats who you are playing.
