After my last dealing with gamestop, I'm never going back. Recently I've been using steam for my games, and I love it. I don't have to deal with EA's DRM bullshit with Crysis:Warhead on steam. Also, I get up to 1.8mpbs downloads, so games install really quick, rather then going to the store and paying just as much, plus gas money, plus tax to buy the same game.

If they could include source SDK files, I think that's all you need for the standlone GMOD 10/11. I know it won't happen, but it would be kickass, you could do ANYTHING :).

Garry needs to release a console version of Gmod, that would be amazing.

F****** genius saying it was a rent, haha!

That's nice, I can't wait to see how well PC's will be able to handle this engine.

Looks like a next-gen yoshi's story.

Crysis is optimized, people just like to spout that crap because their GPU can't handle it.

What are you talking about? People make fun of Christianity ALL THE TIME, much much much MUCH more so then any other religion. I mean come on, what about raptor jesus? No one gives a s*** anymore, if it was back in the middle ages you would have been burnt at the stake, but now Christianity has mellowed out.

Considering most people don't have dual core, or if they do it's no where near 3.2ghz, I highly doubt it. Anyways, most games now adays are GPU intensive, not majorly cpu intensive.

Minimal system requirements:
Supported OS: Windows XP
Processor: Pentium 4 2.4 Ghz or Equivalent
Memory: 1 GB
Graphics: 6600 Nvidia graphics card or ATI equivalent with support for Pixel Shader 3
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c
Sound: DirectX Compatible
Hard Drive: 4 GB

With specs like that, MANY pc's can run that easily, I don't know who they're trying to fool.

You can just go on newegg and buy a new 500GB drive for 70$, HD space and ram is very cheap now.

6353d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

If you knew what you were buying, and smartly managed your computer hardware, it would be a much better investment then a console. I only have a 500GB hard-drive and I find a 18GB install just fine, there's plenty of space where that came from.

Also, yes the Blu-ray reading speed is slow on the PS3, why do you think installs are required? Just look at the Soulcaliber IV loading times installed vs not installed.

Any card 100$ and up (some even sub) will have at least 512MB. A 9600 GT, 8800GT, 4850 will all suffice at a cheap price.

Consoles are dedicating everything they have to running the game, and just a tiny bit for the ingame os. PC's have to run a full featured operating system, and background programs + the game. The spec's aren't that ridiculous at all, and won't take much of a PC to look much better then the console version.

Also, the reason it's 18GB for the PC install is that it's installing ALL the files, the WHOLE game is on your HDD, while on the PS3 it's more of a cache to compensate for Blu...

the card with the most ram is the 4870x2 with 2gb of ram, you can't get 4gb video ram. And 16gb of ram is totally useless, the MOST you should ever go with in this day and age is 4gb.

That quad core is a terrible choice with a E8500 3.16ghz 40$ away, and so it the 8800GT when you can get a 4850 for 150$ with rebate on newegg.

I mean, this game will be on a massive scale I presume, so in that sense it looks good. But comparing to crysis, I don't think so. The models are clunky, the bloom/hdr is off, and the textures are no where near Crysis quality. Foliage isn't that great either

Of Course, I love my N64 console as well, but the claims that people make about Killzone 2 are so blown out of proportion it's funny.

Edit: There you go postedup, in my opinion, GT5 looks much much better then KZ2, it's photo realistic AND 1920x1080, doesn't get much better then that.

Not really, I just finished playing Crysis with my new GTX 280, and all I can say is blah to the bland color, empty land scape, and damn low resolution textures of Killzone. Sure, it's decently good looking for a console game, but no where near the best looking game of all time. Heavy rain looks MUCH better then Killzone 2 (judging by these screens) by FAR.

Please, please put all bullshit aside -_-.
