For the first time I was excited for the wii coming out of last years e3 because of titles like metroid: other m, donkey kong returns, kirby, and goldeneye but aside from DKR none of them wowed me like I was hoping.. Call me jaded but they all just felt dated and clung to gaming archetypes that have existed for years.. @mini I'm all for competition in the games industry but as a whole I think microsoft has done more harm then good.. Before microsoft came along Companies co-existed relatively peacefully.. Sony played with internet enabled consoles long before the 360 came out, I know because I had the adaptor for my ps2 and the HDD that allowed you to play online.. Wasn't perfect but it worked.. I think you are giving far too much credit to microsoft for making the games industry what it is..

I honestly cannot drive the yellow bird.. I tried and it just loves to hang that huge butt out there all the time.. Even under straight line acceleration it wags that tail.. Its too nerver racking for me so I stay away from it.. In fact I don't drive the lotus elise for that reason too, its tail out all the time...
Its painfully apparent to me that you haven't played gt5 or this is your first title in the series.. I've played every gt game since inception way back when on the ps1 and I've loved every second of it.. For me its alll about the cars. I spent nearly TWO HOURS just taking pictures of my beloved Dodge Viper GTS in photo mode and couldn't have had a better time... Perfectly framing that one shot that embodies the soul of a car is what has made gran turismo so feverishly pursued....
This is just another example of microsoft coming into an industry that they have no business being in and thinking they can bully their way to the top by throwing wads of cash around and using smear campaigns... This is why I have no want for microsoft products.. It has nothing to do with fanboyism or bias. I just cannot support a company that thinks they can do what they want with no recourse..

Sony is still managed within, shareholders have a "SAY" in the goings on but sony in now way has to listen.. You look at it as a downgrade but the few people(you included) that felt that way were far outnumbered by the people screaming about how the ps3 was too expensive.. So sony reduced the cost by removing features that were expensive and not key... Sony made a bold, and smart move by releasing the slim the way they did...
