I think its funny, banks have breachs where personal data is stolen and you don't see half the country demand monetary compensation or a free trip to the bahamas but when sony has one by God they better pay up... Instead of everyone taking a step back and realizing that sony is taking a financial loss by protecting us with the choice to take psn offline... It boggles my mind just how much people feel they are entitled to anymore..
You do realise that the wii2 has near identical specs to the current systems right? Thinking that it will outdo anything the ps3 and 360 is currently doing is naive of you to think..
We are still seeing leaps in quality of games coming out on both platforms and to think that devs will come out immediately and see results beating that of the ps3 and 360 is wishful thinking at best...
Will they see high quality games with those specs? of course but conside...
matter of fact the wii2 is rumored to have the exact same amount of ram as the 360 which is already showing its flaws in regard to current gen games... Once again nintendo is "behind the curve" in regards to performance tech but the diehard nintendoites talk it up like its the most revolutionary advance in gaming in years...
Bandwidth caps??? 24 players?? What about games like warhawk on ps3 that allowed 32 players at any given time in large maps with tanks, jeeps, planes etc all while having near flawless performance? I can't comment on the 360 but the ps3 has alwasy been able to support more then 24 players at a given time.. Player count has always been a developer decision when trying to optimize graphics and performance...

Im a fanatical co-op follower.. I love co-op but the overtime feature in mulitplayer is absolutely brilliant... Its been a long time since an innovation like that has come along.. I can't remember how many times I've been on a team in an online game that we lost by 1 kill.. Overtime is so simply brilliant It's hard to believe we have never seen it before.. This is why Naughty Dog is one of the most respected developers in the industry...

I feel that the "balance" that made cod4 so sublime was lost.. Modern warfare 2 whent for content over substance.. I will never forgive infinity ward for the Commando Pro perk... Being able to insta-kill someone with a single stab wound from 10, 20, or even 30 feet away while being riddled with bullets and not die is an atrocity to gaming... Did you stop to think about the employees of sony that sacrificed their holiday weekend? Sony could have pulled a microsoft and said that "We will fix it after our employees come back from the holiday break" but they didnt.. Instead they have had a team on this 24/7 since it whent down 5 days ago... Be more appreciative please...
I want to reiterate on a point that the article eluded to.. Nobody seems to care one bit about the fact that Sony employee's sacrificed their holiday weekend so that they could restore PSN and all anyone wants to talk about is "What do I get for MY inconvience"... People take for granted just how spoiled we are by Sony and they would much rather slander and bad mouth Sony instead of aknowledging and praising all of their hard work and efforts.. Grow up people..
I played this on kinect.. Its kinda fun with a group, not something I'd run out and buy a kinect for.. I havent tried the move version yet but I will say that if you aren't a good dancer then you probably wont enjoy the kinect version at all...
This is exactly the kind of mentality that most gamers lack anymore.. People think that because they can't get what they want when they want it that they are suddenly entitled to something... I love love love single player experiences... There's nothing better then dissapearing into a game for hours and the world fades away, more people should try this.. When this all blows over and psn is more improved then the world can return to normal and everyone will be happy again...

I finished the co-op campaign in kz3 with a good buddy of mine and my God it was the most epic thing.. Everyone that is complaining bout psn being down grab a close friend hop on a ps3 and co-op kz3.. You are in for one of the single best campaigns I've ever played.. Absolutely fantastic.. If thats not enough I've been having a blast with portal2 co-op, as well as bulletstorm.. There are plenty of games to play offline... God of war 3 and metal gear solid 4 make great options as well....
Yes over reacting.. Its not the end of the world.. ITs an inconvience but of course this "I want it now" generation can't understand that... Trust me I work 40 hours a week and drive 2 hours one way 3 times a week to go to school full time.. I have hardly any time to play games but I am being patient.. If psn was down for 2 weeks then yea thats borderline but its been 5 days.. Calm down and psn will be back soon...
Actually XBOX live was down christmas week in 07, the single biggest week in gaming for the year and we didnt have this onslaught of "ZOMG MICROSOFT IZ FAIL!" articles and how they should compensate people or any of this nonsense... These hackers spend hours upon hours writting code and dissecting code and to sit here and say that it's sony's fault for not having better security is ignorant and shows how little you know about the subject....
Instead of just stating the touchpad is dumb why dont tell me why? They've already shown off some very cool implications of the touchpad and they are just tech demos. As far as the second analog stick I know everyone was clamoring for it but sony whent above and beyond actually making them "sticks" instead of nubs, plus touchscreen, sixaxis movement, disc-less media, track pad, and a huge oled display that blows away the notion that handhelds can't do console level graphics....
I think sony had a stroke of brilliance with the second analog stick as well as the track pad on the back of the unit.. You can get alot more movement and fidelity out of that combination.. I'm super excited for the ngp..
