Nobody thinks that a ps3 cant outperform high end pc's. That would be naive, pc's are easily upgradeable and newer and better spec components are released almost on a daily basis. 10 year life cycles arent out of the question, just look at how far the ps2 has come. 7 years and counting is an extremely long time for a console that compared to todays consoles is lacking in the features department. Think about the multimedia capabilities and its clear that 10 years is entirely do-able. I think blu-ray alone will be enough to sustain a 10 year life cycle. Just my opinion though, see you in 8 years!
Crap I didnt even think about the setting being an entire city. I loved the fact that you could get on a crotch rocket and just lay open the throttle and fly. I hope they incorporate an interstate system that links all three islands and runs the entire perimeter. Dude you posted this in the other story about this! Almost every game on that list is multiplatform. You amuse me at how far you go to protect microsoft and the 360. You and I both know that the 360's exclusive lineup this year isnt as robust as the ps3, microsoft has a small fleet of 1st and 2nd party developeres.

There is only a small percentage of games that require an install on the ps3. You keep blowing this issue out of proportion and its getting old. Ninja gaiden is a great example of how its done right, the instal is like 5 minutes and it nearly eliminates load times....
Do you know wat casual games are? It has nothing to do with how you fill your time, its how much time you spend with a game. Causual games are games that people play for 15-20 minutes at a time. A majority of people that play gta spend hours at a time with it whether its the missions, collecting, side missions, playing around the city etc.. etc.. etc. Hardcore game have depth, things that extend play time well beyond its intial core game. Nobody is disputing the fact that this will sell well on the 360. What is being disputed is microsofts claim that they will "own" the launch. That statement is arrogant and I wouldnt be surprised if it bit them in the ass..
You keep poping off at the mouth with these comments but the only thing you keep going back to is the attach rate like its a victory. Do you honestly think that developers dont pay attention to console sales? Attach rate goes hand in hand with console sales, the more people buying a console means more potential sales. Ps3 attach rate is strong, maybe not as strong as the 360's but its still good, 7 titles over the million mark is nothing to take lightly.

Umm did you even read the other news posts on n4g today? Right there in the top news is an article talking about the first ever seen ps3 version of the game in action. They said it ran silky smooth and looked every bit as good as the 360 version. Oh and the rockstar rep said the ps3 contributed to the delay but wasnt the main reason, the 360 version was far from ready as well.

cookie shut up. Yea the ps3 is in third releasing a year after the 360 and being nearly triple the price of the wii at launch its easy to see why. What you dont realize is that because of the design of the 360 the system itself acts as the server, the game companies dont set up servers. This is different with the ps3, the developer is given the freedom to set up their own servers or use p2p setups for their servers.
