Sure these sequels are excellent as they should be, they build on the previous itterations strong points. I, being a best buy employee, have a first hand account. We havent recieved any elites since before christmas, I'm skeptical about demand out weighing supply. Betamax didnt lose as you say, it didnt become the media standard for home videos but betamax has been used for nearly two decades for broadcast and professional taping purposes. Sony lost the average consumer market because of the porno industry backing vhs, mostly because vhs was cheaper. So technically sony didnt completely lose where as hd-dvd will dissapear and toshiba lost alot of money on the format.

Exactly right, sony compresses game files that are downloaded from the store. I clocked a demo download at 5 minutes and the install took 1 minute 15 seconds so 6 minutes and 15 seconds. I have no idea how long demo downloads take on the 360 but 6 minutes is a drop in the bucket if you ask me. Ohh and I have a 200kbps connection so people with broadband should have better times.
