No your right it isnt news but if the reports stop coming in yet the problem still remains then alot of unhappy consumers will be duped, not that they already arent. As of now there is no region on the planet that the 360 is winning. N.A. and great britain were the only two regions in which the 360 had a firm grasp but that has changed. I think next months numbers will either bolster this trend or it wont. I personally believe that with tax seasong coming into full swing, strong lineup, and media support the ps3 is finally coming into its own in north america...

Ok here we go. PS2 laser read issues were not a defect, the lasers just simply wore out after prolonged use especially if you played dvds alot. I had my launch ps2 for 4 years and the laser had disc read problems about the third year but I just bought a laser cleaner and kept the laser clean. Microsoft RRoD is an entirely different issue, it is essentially a hardware failure that completely bricks the console in a very short amount of time. Hell even the 360 has disc read errors.
You guys cant read, this article is refering to "purchased warranties" This in no way takes into account all of the 360's returned directly to microsoft as outside companies cant track this number without microsoft giving it out. So 16% percent is the number of consoles with a purchased warranty being returned back to the retailer. Again someone trying to spin this in microsofts favor. These graphs take an average of all games so the more games you have with a significant portion of those games scoring in the sub 60% region the lower the average. Simple math people. We all know that the ps3 has a smaller library of games but most of the games for the system are well above average. In my memory I can only recall a couple of games that received a sub 60% score.
