Its all media... I played halo 1 and 2 and i played gears. They were far over hyped. Microsoft has its hands in all kinds of media therefore its very easy for them to start viral advertising campaigns for their games.. The features in R2 blow gears away but the hype train isnt as large because sony lets the games sell themselves.....

Microsoft is envious of that fact and so they "borrow" sony's ideas. Borrowing isnt a bad thing, especially in this industry but blatant outright copying is tacky and microsoft has alot of experience in this area...

bladestar your generalizing. I have a launch model 60 gig with 15 games.. of those 15 games 5 required an install. MOST games now are coming with background streaming. The system will stream data in the background while you are playing. I have around all 14 episodes of firefly plus the firefly movie and the pilot, and several other videos 2, 3 demos, mgs4 database 17 hours of music and I still have 12 gigs left on my hard drive. The install debate is blown out of proportion.
The 360 had a roughly 10 million unit lead whenever the ps3 launched. Even if microsoft "sold" 24 million, which they didnt, the gap is smaller by 2 million... SO yes its just you.
but once you add on the wifi add on, live subscription, larger hard drive, and wireless controller you really see the value.
Wow jason 360 is the epitome of uniformed. He reads a post on n4g and takes it at face value.. For one the ps3 isnt 7-8 million behind, also sony was 10 million behind whenever the ps3 launched. Which means that in two years sony has gained considerable ground. Sony isnt in economic meltdown as you are trying to portray. They are still forecasting a "PROFIT" of 500 million. True it was assisted by the ps2 and psp but point is sony made a profit in the games division. I laugh because in 7 years we are all gonna look back and the ps2 will still be the highest selling console of all time and the ps3 will still be around and regarded as one of the best consoles of all time...

edit... that graph you refer too is company wide... not just the gaming division. Microsoft has huge contracts with the government. Sony is all on their own.. they forge their own path

How many hardware revisions has the 360 undergone since launch??? like 3 or 4??? Most devs code on the 360 and then port too the ps3 due to the headstart that the 360 had.
