Then why don't they give another option to continue online multiplayer later on, like the PC? They need to hear us...
SOUNDS good. What you're saying then is that you won't be supporting The Division & Destiny with a full price purchase. Is that right? Because I won't be buying those games at full price, if ever, because of this online server cutoff issue. How serious are you?
@ Septic
You're right, but if I'm comparing it to the competition (PS4), with higher-grade hardware & lower price, "super computer" or not, the PS4 is gonna be +1, THE WHOLE GENERATION. Who buys weaker for 25% more? And for what? More Halo? :-/
Propaganda. Gotta love it...
Why don't us PS4 gamers just...*gasps!*...buy the disc-based version, and STFU? Not an option? :-/
Or...we could all just buy the disc-based version? Just a thought... :-/
You guys thought about...HELL...just buying the disc-based version? Like, everyone else does? :-/
@ YouTried
Thanks for the trolling/making light of people's situations with this phenomenàl baseball game on PS4. Your mother would be proud...*smh*
I hope this makes an impression on gamers, in the future: buy the disc! It's virtually scratch-proof, and you can give it away/sell it if you want. Plus, digital titles on Xbox One & PS4 are still locked to that gen system (as of now). You can't lose with good ol' fashioned disc-based...
The Xbox Division has lost an estimated 11 billion dollars for Microsoft, since it came to market. Microsoft is an American based corp, meaning they use the philosophy of "I'll sell my mother on the street corner before I take a loss!" -type of business practices. If they show early that they'll come in at only about 50 million or so units sold lifetime, there's no way Microsoft will stay. For what? For...the gamers?! lol
Weird how things work out, huh?
The company that is up the financial creek is CLEARLY all in for the hardcore gamer, from Day One. And the company that makes BILLIONS every couple of months, and their fans have to beg & plea for them to stay in the video game market... :-/ Money first, I get it...but (from a console gamer's perspective) at what cost?
Everything CAN'T be for sale...
@ starchild
I don't understand where you're coming from. Consumers buying habits can't be based off of a naive perspective of "who cares about specs, I just wanna buy systems and not judge anything!" Pfft...EVERYTHING/EVERYONE gets judged, whether we like it or not. The Xbox One's specs are WEAKER (fact), with a higher price tag (fact). No amount of smoke, mirrors, or analytical thinking can adjust such a value gap. Sometimes...better is just BE...
Those are some valid questions. My biggest one is, how many games will be available, across three generations of PS systems, will be available? I'm not paying a Gamefly/Netflix monthly sub price for a "few" (50 or less) games per system. I need a strong library of games per system, if you want me to eat whatever sub price. Don't screw this opportunity away, SONY...
Can it NOT be a shooter, GG? :-/
It was 1080p/60fps on PS4, so...maybe it's not so much a "next gen" thing as it is an Xbox One thing... :-/
You're calling the Xbox One a "premium" product?! Is that what we're doing now?! When did THAT happen? :-/
You're right, hiptanaka. I shudder to think of what the future of console gaming holds if gamers don't come together and speak loudly for traditional "features" like this (iPad microtransaction-styled games comes to mind)...
*Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding*!
You're the reason a company that's TRYING to be fair, with competitors that are anything but, are forced to make d*ck moves, also...*smh*
Just make sure you have AT LEAST HALF of the whole PS3 library available to rent, at launch. Same thing with PS1/PS2 (if not local compatibility). This service has a GREAT potential to it, SONY. Don't d*ck it away...
To be fair, the PSN also said BF4 was in 1080p last year, and that wasn't true. I want this to be true about Watch Dogs, but...it could very well be a typo.
