The hate for this game is shameful and N4g doesn't help the situation... Its a great game that just needs more content. Grinding only feels good if there is decent reward. I personally just didn't feel that after the 60 hour mark.
Beatiful game though... Really looking forward to what they can add to it.
Well bloody said swiftox... I've bleated on about this before but the main bulk of people that seem to have all this anger towards the game are either one of the 200 thousand North American gamers who stupidly preordered it like sheep before waiting for reviews, pc gamers or xbox fan boys.
Myself, like a great deal of other gamers bought this game on ps4 with decent expectations and thoroughly enjoyed the experience it gave. I got about 50-60 hours out of it before I go...
The preorders on this game reached around 200k in North America. Obviously that shows that alot of folk in the states jumped on the hype train. The game was even on the late show for christsake. I really do get the feeling that alot of the hate is coming from that part of the world.
I watched nearly all of the streams from Murray and yet why is it that I feel like I got exactly the game I was waiting for, despite the hype and promises? Are americans just hungrier for hype? ...
Unfortunately they never seem to make exciting, inspirational games that have a clear marketing message... If Alan wake had been set in a post apocalyptic zombie/giant rat setting, more people would have bought it. They are a talented studio just let down by fairly boring concepts...

Peter Molyneux promised crazy things for fable but a large amount of those things never materialised. Watchdogs promised the world and the devs even produced trailers and gameplay videos that they claimed were realtime but were not.
What about the adverts from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony over the years that contain real time graphics that are not even vaguely close to actual game play.
What about so called gameplay trailers like killzone 2 etc t...

Who gives a crap. They'll just say that these were things they wanted but didn't make the final cut... Tons of devs say the same thing in the lead up to a release. Gaming history is littered with such promises.. As is the film industry.. Advertising standards may just be vaguely interested and yet as usual the media blows everything out of proportion.. hurrah

For people that have quality equipment like you have mentioned, they really should just buy a dedicated 4k player that doesn't produce the heat and noise of a console... I am not trying to justify anything.. I genuinely love the game as do alot of people... and nothing i was shown, bar perhaps the gigantic monster barging in and knocking over trees and shit, in any way misdirected my purchase.
