Lifexline isn’t really wrong in their statement that these articles always seem to attract more PS Fanboys telling people what Xbox players actually want. That’s a hard fact and looking at the comment section on any Xbox related article on this website will show the usual suspects.
There is also the issue of the double standard.
Sony delays: “it’s good, I’d rather have a polished game at launch than a rushed game”
Xbox delays: I don’t e...
Fair score imo.
Was so hyped for this and my copy arrived yesterday. To say it’s janky is an understatement, the combat is just a total mess.
Turned it off within the hour. I’ll go back to it at some point.
Damage control after a rather stupid admission.
Tragic launch state…?
Where? What? Are you okay?
Yeah, I want to buy it on PS for the DualSense but going to try it out with the GP sub first and see how it is.
Unproven developer with an ambitious game that’s been delayed and delayed, always good to be cautious.
Decent looking list for the trophy hunters out there.
Still on the fence with this one, will see what reviews bring.
PS3 was notoriously difficult to develop for and the complaints weren’t limited to Todd Howard. Mainly due to developers having to adjust to new tools for the cell architecture at play.
That being said, TH had no excuse with the PS4, so we’ll see what happens when Starfield launches and IF it launches in a buggy mess.
Yes, yes it does.
Redfall already looks mediocre.
Starfield, Fable, Hellblade, Stalker, State of Decay, Darktide, Ark, Forza, the list goes on…all of those NEED to deliver after Microsoft’s Xbox division fumbled gen 8 with the Xbox One and are continuing to fumble with this current generation being over two years into the console life cycle and the only exclusives launched (aside from HiFi Rush) have been mediocre at best.
Starfield nee...
@Orchard, I don’t think they should copy it, to be honest.
It’s successful for Nintendo because, to me, Nintendo has always been synonymous with portability. The GameCube with its handle, the multiple iterations of the GameBoy, DS, etc. the Wii sold like hot cakes but the Wii-U slumped, seems like they’ve found the sweet spot in the middle.
Sony tried with the PSVita and sadly didn’t support it long enough because that system was great but there’s no poin...
Woah @Goozex what is the issue?
It’s true, the Switch is storming up there. Nowhere did @Orchard mention Xbox in their comment nor did they put Sony down. Calm down.
As good as the game is and as much as I am enjoying it, I do feel this probably should’ve been in the game at launch given that the groundwork is there with the pitch, quidditch uniforms, broom flying, etc.
I had my first switch in August 2019 and sold it by October 2019 as I hardly used it. It developed stick drift in that time with sub 50hrs use.
I much prefer the switch lite now but it’s still a widespread problem. Just poor build quality. All of the new consoles have it too, it’s just that the switch has the worst.
Nintendo Tax, literally games that launched with the switch still hover around £50-£60 retail. Years old, still full RRP.
They’re everywhere on this site, with Sony fanboys being the most vocal and in larger numbers, Xbox fanboys always getting downvoted to oblivion and the silent Nintendrones.
Facts are there: Nintendo is anti-consumer but people like to pretend corporations care about them. You can still enjoy a platform and it’s games regardless of how they run things, people just need to drop their bias.
Same, tried to re-download and play a few days ago but I just don’t enjoy it anymore.
Every Tuesday you get to do the same task time and again and play 2-3 short missions to further the “narrative”.
Was going to get Lightfall because the new environment looks incredible and the soundtrack is great but it’s just not the same now.
D3 needed with less “vaulting” of entire planets.
Switch is doing well.
I’m surprised Nintendo manage to compete in today’s market given how anti-consumer they typically are:
-Nintendo Tax
-Joy-con drift (affected both my Switch and Switch Lite though was eventually repaired)
-Constantly blocking fan projects
-Limited releases
-Switch Pro? Switch 2? No, lol, have an OLED screen
The numbers speak for themselves but I am definitely surprised that the s...
@Chevalier, do you own shares in SCE?
You sure act like it with your putting words in people’s mouths once again.
@Gaming just mentioned that it will be a great year for gaming if Xbox has a great year too.
It’s not hard to put two and two together and see that more good games = better for gamers- oh wait, that’s right, you have a bias and only want people who play on PlayStation to enjoy the hobby, my mistake.
@Chevalier, like @Poopmeister you are missing the point of my comment entirely. Please read above before jumping to conclusions formed out of your own fanboyism.
Nowhere did I state they don’t have “pedigree”.
Nowhere did I say it’s all talk - “sure, you say it’s all talk.”
Ohhh so I can’t call out blatant hypocrisy in a blanket statement until YOU deem that I can based on your skewed metrics and biased views? Get help.
“Stop s...
@Poopmeister, you clearly miss my point.
@talocaca mocked others and generalised by saying that Microsoft fans scream GOTY after a CG trailer.
The first GoW had a title reveal and a number of fanboys were jumping to “GOTY” claims before the game released. I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy in their blanket statement.
100% not a 9/10.
Graphically unimpressive and wholly unoptimized on all consoles and PC. Have played both the PS5 and SX versions whilst seeing lots coming from the PC build.
It’s a shame that games are getting a free pass and 9/10s for launching borderline unplayable, the game struggling to hold even 30fps at 4k with and frequent drops from 60fps at 1080p.
For a current gen only title, that shouldn’t be excused.
1080p, unable ...
