I read an interview the other day with a japanese person who bought an xone. When asked why he thinks the system isn't more popular he responded that it had a bad reputation for poor quality hardware.
One theory is that RROD was kind of seen as unforgivable in Japan.
I had Live Gold with my 360 for over 5 years. Live goes down all the time, it was just down a week or two ago.

Sounds like the Japanese found RROD unforgivable.
That's an amazing deal, in Canada games are $70 so your basically getting an xone for as low as $330. I'm not really interest in any of xone's current exclusives but if the deal comes back after MCC releases I'll get one.
It's Mortal Combat, I want it to try and disgust me with the gore.
I hope that all interesting story lines and not filler.

I loved Resogun but top down shooters or 3/4 angle shooters aren't my thing. In fact I really don't like them at all. I hope the game is great for fans of the genre and all the best the studio in any case.
As a person who has avoided the last 3 COD games it has revived my interest. Although, that's partly due to Battlefield becoming more and more disappointing with each version. My fav thing about the BF was completely destructible environments, so I loved BFBC2. Each iteration has had less destruction to make the graphics better.
I am very excited for this game. Hope they nail the story as well.
Ubisoft needs to fire the people responsible for making the story and characters in their games. Far Cry 3, Watchdogs, and arguably AC are all seriously lacking in the story department.
And before that, Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six.
They need a whole new writing team.
Same for me, I played the beta with my friends who are also buying the game. I like the beta so more of that would be great. Don't need reviews to tell me otherwise.
Sony has been fighting hard for the respect of gamers since PS3, trying to give them what they want and done a great good job imo.
Sony's clear success with PS4 got MS back on track (sort of...Games with Gold, less pay walls but still timed 3rd party exclusives unfortunately). Now MS is fighting back trying to find policy and strategy weaknesses, there aren't many but Sony is seriously lagging behind in the meaningful OS updates department.

Pretty much every game is based on very old hero fantasies, save the princess or save the world. For some reason that resonates with men and has for hundreds of years. If the female market for games is as large as they say or there's a lot of money to be made then make games that appeal to female archetypical fantasi...

Guaranteed if she was flat chested or bad looking it wouldn't matter.
Just because someone is undeniably and unavoidably sexy doesn't make it sexist to depict them. If the only thing the viewer can see is sexyness that's not the fault of the artist. Seems like people are mad and screaming sexism because they can't look past the person's looks.

It's a game that requires friends to play with, I can understand people saying it's mediocre if none of their friends were getting the game. Several of mine are so I foresee good times ahead.
Graphics weren't impressive at all though but the gameplay is good. And I loved Halo so this gameplay is great for me.
In my experience hipsters are the biggest a-holes around. So much self-entitlement and the worst interpersonal skills. Wearing malcom x glasses doesn't make you unique, smarter, or superior to anyone. Get over yourself.
