Great idea, HORRIBLE design.
The people running Nintendo right now just be drunk.
Xperia Z is widely regarded as the best android tablet. Just too expensive which is classic Sony.
When it comes to Sony you can always get pretty much as good for a lot cheaper, not including PS4 of course.
Sure but Sony and MS lost big money last gen, it's bad business to sell at a huge loss when competition is so thick. If you want your triple AAA high production games, and sub -$400 consoles, there're going to be compromises and "cheap" way to make more money.
Moreover, it must sting that Phone makers can mark up products 300% while console makers at best break even for years on hardware. The perceived value of a video console (and the ability to game) is ...
I'll take 60 FPS over 1080p any day. Most adults have big TVs which they sit several feet away from, making the difference between 720p and 1080p less visually apparent than the difference between 30 FPS and 60 FPS.
Besides, a major factor for the lost "sharpness" people complain of (because gamers always have to complain) is more due to AA techniques in many cases.
If you're not satisfied, get it for PC. All my buddies are playing on PS4 ...
I lost interest in them over a year ago. The only game that I really made me feel like playing again for more than 30 minute was Last of Us.
Well to fair, in Battlefield getting a head shot from across the map takes a good amount of skill.
And if he thinks gamers won't find cheap exploits in Titanfall, he's in for a bad time.
To claim the title of the ugliest handheld ever released and admit that the 3D part of 3DS was yet another unsuccessful Nintendo gimmick, like the WiiPad.
Wii U still needs to be $100 cheaper for me to even consider it. $200 is the way I'd get one especially considering its current and near future games lineup.
The point is that launch next gen games didn't look worlds better than end of gen last gen games.
Also add to that that this gen was even longer, so devs had even more time to max hardware.
I still remember thinking Halo 2 looked as good as launch 360 games and Burnout Revenge could compete graphically with Ridge Racer.
I hope that wake up and download from phone feature works for all PSN Store content, not just purchasing games.
What I'm strangely interested in is what browser the PS4 will use. I really hope they abandon their own Sony built efforts and adopt Chrome. The track pad would actually make browsing on the TV really effective. It would also be cool to be able to switch to the browser quickly at any time for people like my self trying using a site for collectible locations.
Sony seems to be slowly crawling back in most areas. The biggest problem in most areas is their high pricing but their tablets, phones, A//V etc. are once again ong the best out there.
Compare 1st gen PS3 games to launch day PS4 games and you'll see a huge leap.
Also, if the PS2/Xbox gen lasted as long as this one I think people would have said that 360/PS3 graphics werent a huge leap.
I remember thinking that none of 360s launch games looked that much better than Halo 2, I felt that way until Gears came out.
I think for launch games, PS4 and Xone look pretty good. Standard improvement from the best of the last gen c...
I don't mind AAs. I hate when I forget to charge my PS3 controller and have to be tethered to the system by a 3 foot cord. It's easier just buying a pack of 20 Duracell cheap from Walmart and not having to worry about batteries dying mid game.
Still getting PS4 though.
I agree, too bad it has so little 3rd party support
And then you'll see a Kinect less skew by next holiday season for $100 less.
All I know is that MS first party abandoned both previous systems prematurely, while Sony released some of the gens best games consistently up until the very end for the previous three systems. (Gran Turismo, God of War 2, Last of US)
Out of all three console manufacturers I feel Sony has shown the biggest commitment to games from launch to finish over and over again.
MS rather spend 50 mill on timed exclusives than new IPs.
For me community wise PS4 will be the best because all my friends are getting BF4 for PS4. But in terms of graphics, people with high end (and expensive) PC rigs will have best graphics.
PS4 will have other features like game replays and stuff but in terms of strict graphics, people with the money for high end PCs will always win.
In terms of fun, all I know is I'll have more fun on PS4 with my friends than on PC alone.
Within 2-3 years all pS4 multiplats should look noticibly better on PS4
I hate this exclusive content direction. The only exclusive content should be first party games. All it does it prevent gamers from having content they otherwise would have had, it only deprives and creates nothing new. MS is the worst at it, they rather spend 50 mill on timed exclusives than build a new IP but Sony is getting just as bad.
