60 fps is far more important and visually appealing when playing.
I'd take 720p at 60fps over 1080p at 30fps in a shooter anyday.
This gen is heading in the wrong direction.
60 fps at 720p looks better when playing than 1080p at 30fps
I hope it's not like Crysis 3, great graphics but completely boring game.
make it 720p for all i care just make the effects and such awesome.
I'd love for a dev to provide a technical explanation for why PS4 multiplats won't look noticeably better. The only thing I've heard are evasions like "they both have advantages" or that no one would optimize for PS4 or MS would penalize ("pressure") devs who would.
Please, could some dev explain how the better GPU and better RAM in PS4 wouldn't produce better graphics and precisely what 360's technical advantage is to make it roughly ...
I wish console games just gave the option.
I wouldn't consider Crytek graphics king, at least on consoles. A lot of games looked much better than Crysis 2 and 3.
I had 6 360s but purchased two, a crap phat that broke 5 times and a slim.
Love the blue.
I'm definitely getting PS4 but I have zero interest in Knack, it looks terrible imo.
I much prefer 60 FPS @ 720P than 30 FPS @ 1080p.
The increased smoothness is much more perceptible to me than the increased sharpness, especially considering that I game on a big screen TV 6-8 feet away.
I have no problem with them tying in the long run. I'm getting PS4 first but knowing me I'll end up getting an xbone when it drops in price.
I had SNES and Genesis, PS1 and N64, PS2 and Xbox, PS3 and 360, I doubt I'll change.
PS3 has been outselling 360 for over 4 years.
I'm getting a PS4 but those are the best next-gen graphics I've seen so far.
If 900p allows games to look that good, I hope Sony drops the res.
On all platforms, that should be easy if the game is good.
I have nothing against Ryse, it looks cool actually but I can't stand Crytek after never fixing the grain glitch in Crysis 2 for 360.
Vowed never to support them after that and never will. Their games have done poorly since too but they have been burning supporters for a while.
They are worst company at fixing bugs IMO so I'm not about to waste 60 bucks again and not be sure the company is willing to spend the money to fix game breaking bugs should...
But the most preordered console is PS4.
Ok in the game, great...
Why don't they use it for 360 if it's so great.
I've fallen for MS marketing gimmicks and empty promises before. Not again.
MS is always saying some tech it has can do so and so then never delivers.
totally agree. Console games aren't played on PC screens where you're one foot away, your often 6-10 feet back when gaming on a TV.
I can't understand how all these gamers and devs are choosing 1080p at 30fps over 720p at 60fps.
The added smoothness is undeniable and it improves gameplay but the added sharpness isn't all that noticeable and does nothing for gameplay.
