I don't think their fanbase is looking for too much different.
I can't knock a person for buying what they liked even if I find the lack of change boring. So enjoy.
I do suspect there will be a new "COD4" like franchise this gen. The most popular in one gen is never the same in the next.
I doubt any 400 gaming PC will be able to run games as well as PS4 5 years from now.

At this point it doesn't even matter for me, every single person I know is getting a PS4, even I wanted xbone more I'd be stuck playing online with strangers. There is no other choice but the PS4 now.

The major media was so biased against Sony last gen, I don't see why they would change. Only now theirs a lot less to complain about with respect to PS4, so they minimize the things they should be complaining about with xbone
First time I've heard this guy say something that made sense.
Way too many great shooters coming to make Titanfall a make or break game, or a major reason to get one console over the other. I'd be surprised if it's more popular than BF4 which may become the king of competitive MP. Being an exclusive may actually hurt Titanfall's brand value in the long run.
Also, online mp is going to change this gen, team based games like Destiny and The Division are the future.

If they were both the same price not sure which one is get. But they aren't so its PS4.
I think Titanfall and Quantum Break look cool and I love Halo but then again Sony has Naughty Dog which makes some of the best games around and arguably made the best single player experience of gen with Last of Us. Then there's strong titles such as Killzone, Infamous and God of War AND the assurance that Sony won't abandon core gamers prematurely like MS has done twice now...
For the first time in years I actually agree with Edge, PS4 is my next-gen console.
First thing xbone gamers do when they unbox that brand new console = control the OS with Kinect and test the TV functionality.
First thing PS4 games do = insert a game.
I feel like I may be the only one that likes game adds. I even like car and movie adds too.
Just so long as they don't clutter the OS im fine with adds.
Even when Sony messed up a lot with PS3 they still outsold 360.
With the state of Wii U it looks like Sony might win another gen, although still way to early to say.

Ran its course meaning they turned an interesting and compelling story into a shallow, disjointed sht show with less depth than a Saturday morning kids show. Story telling at its worst.
The first imparted a sense that the humans were fighting against extinction, by the third they lost the sight of the forest by making the game revolve around trivial mission after trivial mission.
Hopefully the next one story is more like Last of Us than Battlefield
And my dreams for pop-up free gaming once again is destroyed.
