Thats crazy for a 5-6 year old console. But it is because of Kinect. $M has stated at CES that within 2 months they sold 8 million units. But I don't know if this was world wide or just the U.S?
So you would expect more 360's to be brought. This is the Wii all over again. Like it or not it seems M$ is not concerned with $ony as before, if they did they would have more first parties. They seem to be more focused on catching the Wii and it's consumers.

In respone, 360 is far from "complete". It still plays movies, music during any game, sync up with your PC. I'd say those are positive things.
But I would say that any console with no online is limited, not just xbl. Without it there would be no updates, via 3D support on PS3, no Netflix, Hulu plus, ESPN, MLB TV, Zune, Web browsers, ect.
I will say the PS3 is a more "complete" device than 360 with Blu-ray, 3D support, 7.1 surround...

The live HD streaming, interviews, ondemand events,ect for $60 a year? That is included with Xbox Live, facebook, twitter, and last.Fm. I don't care for nothing on cable but sports and some televison series, which I have netflix for that.
