To be honest, this game has been in development for so long. And has been pushed around by different game companies, it would seem I have lost interest.

I agree, the guy was clearly trying to make the PS3 version seem inferior. Would people actually think that ID would have the PS3 version running at 30 fps with the game completed? Sure you have to do more work, but it is capable of running at 60fps.

I agree, and if people new anything about mega textures, they wouldn't be spouting that. It is the main reason why carmack came up with this trick, (with the 360 in mind)knowing the limited dvd9 on the 360 that it might just run on 2 disc. Halo reach uses similar tactics.

I was a bit skeptical when I too saw not much going on on the screen. So assuming they are talking mostly about graphics. But if we know graphics from Id, it may take the crown for FPS. They always seem to make that mark. Firstly, ID being the first of FPS. Secondly, always having decent graphics, like (at the time)Doom 3, Quake 4, ( I can't believe COD still uses the Quake 4 engine) and others.
We'll just have to trust in Carmack be that it may, he is the godfather ...
You know, I thought the same thing. Having more time spent on how they will make PSN secure in the future, ect. But 3 hours on games alone would be worth it. Lets not have too much hype on this, people would be let down.

I really think this title is wrong, it should've been. How will the big three do with the consoles next gen, since he was mostly talking about the future of the consoles.

I know nothing if Gametrailers,or Gamespot(which was said to have favor towards the 360) was ever known for such things. Are you saying these sites are unreliable as well? PS3 is showing it's third party colors, and have won 3 straight.(Which is good for a change)

PS3 wins this, but I have somewhat against this. They are trying hard to please the PS3 side, due to various complaints(though it is a clear win for PS3).The loading was clearly a 360 win, but they give it a tie?
Also, games of late have been hurting on 360. Mainly jaggies, and blurs. Brink, now Portal 2. We are starting to see a trend. Did third parties finally get use to the PS3, or is this just a PS3 port to 360?

Here is wisdom, if a "gamer" owns one system. Thus, he is a fan of that platform. By his own reasons he is content. If a gamer owns more than one platform, then is he at ease. Because he has the best of all worlds. He will go to this console, or that console and isn't worried about such troubles. This is a true gamer, who despises not but is content with all.

Perhaps they won't leave, but game devs may see it as not being dependable. Giving more praise, content, on it's rival. No one likes to lose money and you may find some game devs not abandoning this platform, but you may find the grass greener on the other platform due to this unfortunate event.

True, but some of these "gamers" are downing the game because of what the journalist said in his article.(which makes no since) I think also because it has 360 in the title.( being a 360 article)
Moreover, I have been impressed what devs can do on the consoles year in and year out. If Id software can make the PS3 version better than more power to them and vice versa.
