Not to undermine your comment.
But if you can afford two consoles... you can afford 25p (Paying for both) per day on online services.
Not to mention the fact that when you purchase a console these days, you are essentially committing to online service payments to start with!
I don't want to bring up the differences in their services because it's a wash. XBL has always been solid, it's undeniable really.
@Chobit
Maybe so... I do think you can compare it because it adds to your household monthly expenditure.
What about comparing to a Mobile phone contract?
45-55£ per month... and the service is something you can't physically hold in your hand (Excluding the phone of course)
Or perhaps my bus ticket to work, 96£ per month
Or petrol in my car 25£ per week.
11p per day is still is a dro...
:O
Mind blown!
Halo players wet dream right there!
To be honest, a charge of 11p per day is not such a big deal for an online service.
I spend more on my internet service provider.
It's known that eastern territories have become more smart phone oriented players/users.
Things'll look up in time. Bring the games and advertisements and try and put them on the map. They should open a store in Tokyo with a playable arcade... guaranteed buzz!
I mean... everyone has been in...
Surely, it will make a difference.
If they were to sell one 29th of what they have already sold in all of those countries... then we'll be looking at a double in worldwide sales within the coming year.
Then add the extra sales received from buyers in already-released territories who haven't already taken the plunge. It'll take time, and they'll have to see each area gets it's fair share of PR bumph. So it is still a possibility.
...
Even if you don't like it... you'll still get a good month of gaming out of it before you boycott the game.
Those who like it may get between 3-6 months worth of play.
We won't know until it ships
Agreed
Tiled resources will work very nicely with the XB1
I personally think we're about to hit a games development renaissance. Computing technology has been plateau-ing for a long time. Power to price is way better then it used to be and the requirements of video games to produce great results affordably is well within pricing standards..
Having an APU in the newer consoles is a strength. Huge development has been invested in bringing desktop c...
@New Monday
I went to a community gaming stop called "The heart of gaming" in London, on a stag do the other day.
You'll be surprised to hear that not one of those games was featured.
There was;
Uber Dance Mat (With Mega DubStepz)
Multiple Street Fighter Versus - Arcade units.
Smash Bros
Mario Kart
Goldeneye
Marvel Vs Capcom
Metal Slug
House of the Dead
Fist...
I still feel like DLC is completely nickel 'n' diming the industry.
If it's ready at launch... ship it from launch.
It falsely adds value.
The fact that most games need a "day one patch" insights that they could easily disperse the content upon release.
It's timed exclusivity... not even worth losing hair about.
Everyone should be thankful that the game is shared between the platforms... even at the cost of a bit of time.
Full exclusivity is gash... share the wealth... not for the money... but for the gamers.
I wish people would take a step back, open their mind and accept that they don't know as much as they think they know.
Everything in these articles/within the comments is based solely on what people think they know. It effects every comment above and below.
Mis-information due to generalisation is like Chinese whispers and interpretation.
It's safe to say that everything wrote by a user within this site, is speculative. Very little fa...
Its probably just because people love to generalise.
Like so...
Ms = xbox
Sony = PS
Nintendo = Wii
PC = ...Ms/Windows? ....
Or should... it be PC = Devs?
Looks sooooo good!!!
Halo 4.5?
Ideal world... All for it...
This world would only happen of ms bought playstation... Which wouldn't happen because they'd sell their other assets to keep it afloat
Do you think publishers don't fund projects enough prior to the intervention of the console companies? Do the publishers decide upon the deadlines within their proposal/contract? Do the developers illicitly decide upon marketing deals without publishers consultation.
I don't think it's as simple as
-) ms did this to spite everyone
The game would surely exist without any outside funding. It isn't "low" it's busi...
@ Bloodborn,
Its not as bad as it sounds.
TR was a PS exclusive for years... same with Metal gear solid...
Remember final fantasy 7? just what platform was 1-6 released on?
Not to mention Destiny and PS favouritism... and COD and XB favouritism.
Timed exclusivity is better then full exclusivity. THE LATTER is aggressive marketing
The "There are more exclusives on blah console" argu...
I wonder if they can implement a "Download album artwork" feature.
Similar to windows media player... or itunes.
Would make for a much prettier interface dont you think?
Don't forget Destiny and Advanced warfare... and titanfall... and quantum break... and FH2.... and Ryse... and Deadrising :)
A few of those I wasn't aware of at all.
Keep those new features coming MS!
We want functionality... (obviously applied in a meaningful and straight forward way)
Pure hilarity.
I presume this is illegitimate but it's bloody pro :D
If deliberate... well it sounds like the XB team may be getting the hang of PR for the first time ever!
