The sad thing is that this is the kind of things that happen when a company has too much prestige. They tend to be able to do anything they see fit. Again disregarding any current fanbase because they know they're so good at what they do, they can make a completely new fanbase.
Heck, SE can completely abandon the Playstation and become a 100% Xbox exclusive and they know that new install base will become their new fanbase.

They know they're on top. They know they're supporting only the casuals. And they certainly know how much money they profit.
And then they rub it in people's faces even more by having a Lady who doesn't know anything about games doing half of their presentation.
I think GG really did they're homework this time. They know what FPS fans want. And they aren't making any of the same mistakes as Killzone 1. So I think co-op is a must. Probably not 4 player co-op though, but definitely 2 player co-op. Also considering that there will always be that 1 supporting character that follows sev throughout the whole game.
As far as graphics, they've already proven they're worth on that front.

Yeah. To be honest, FFXIII lost it's appeal as a Final Fantasy game. It's now just another one of those multiplatform games.
Heck, even if hell froze over and it was a 360 exclusive. It still would have pushed the 360's hardware to the brink and had that exclusive "you can only experience Final Fantasy on this console" appeal.
And I'm still not convinced FFvXIII will stay a PS3 exclusive either. I won't believe it until 3 years past when that game releases...
Actually, it's more like they didn't show a lot of other games. Where's White Knight Story, Valkyria Chronicles, Heavy Rain, The Agency, Wardevil, etc. and of course the previous 360 exclusives Bioshock and Eternal Sonata.

I honestly think Sony is being careful with their words. If they're going to say anything negative about SE, that could just be the final excuse SE starts making 360-only exclusives and completely abandon the PS brand just like they did with Nintendo.
Hmm, maybe because Halo 1 was great in successfully introducing FPS gaming to the console masses. Halo 2 re-invigorated the franchise with new weapons, dual wielding, crazy online play, and much more polished graphics over Halo 1 despite being on the same console.
Halo 3 didn't do anything as extraordinary. It's a solid 7/10 game or 8/10 that clearly didn't deserve the 10/10.

Meh, Microsoft is waiting for the next big 3rd party exclusive game from Sony. So they can buy that one off and give another two thumbs up to the crowd at E3 2009.
Most companies usually do the final polishing phases for the graphics at the last stretch of developement. It's when they sit down, and actually look at the game. Then of course it goes to QA to look for bugs or anything else (within they're time budget).
I also agree. Disc Swapping isn't as a big deal as everyone says it is. Just as long as you don't have to swap discs to re-visit previous locations of the game. Although that was never an issue with Lost Odyssey. Also like I said, the disc space is more than likely used up most by the FMV cutscenes.

don't blame the casual gamers, blame nintendo. My nephew and niece loves the Wii. they're not a "dumb" casual gamers. they just have fun with it.

seriously, why do sony even bother with UMD's still. I mean yeah they can continue to use the UMDs for the games, but it still boggles me that they cant admit UMDs are dead as a movie format.
Man i love the whole cloverfield atmosphere stuff. But it's clear insomniac hasn't truely started they're polishing phase yet. Seems like it's one of they're last steps before fully releasing the game. I'm sure by november we're going to see some crazy shiznizzle.
