Yup, my friend spent $400 on the xbox with a couple of games, just for 1 stinkin year later the Xbox360 comes out. Except now he has the 360, and the xbox is buried away in the closet.
So by your theory, the PS2 was nothing more than ports/remakes from PS1 games. But look at the success of the PS2.
Only 1 1/2 year left until the PS2 retires anyway. Sony's sticking to their 10 year plan, and are keeping their word. Something companies like Square Enix and Capcom have a hard time doing.
I think because of how heated the console wars have gotten. People think they're going to pull some crazy punches at E3. That simply wasn't the case. With exception of the whole FFXIII thing.
But Sony delivered the most exclusive games on PSN, PS3, and PSP.
High quality, varied, and unique PSN games like Fat Princess, Ragdoll Kung Fu, Flower, SOCOM, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Bootay, Crash Commando, Siren, Pixeljunk Eden.

How could some of you guys honestly complain about this? They're giving double the amount of storage space and a dualshock 3 for the same price as the current 40gb in the U.S. Gone are the days of the normal SIXAXIS.
Sure there's no B/C. But the value has still gone up. Sony seems truely content is phasing out the PS2 support slowly. Putting no B/C is one way of saving money on the hardware, plus phase out the ps2 in the long run.

Hard to believe huh? Considering they've still got 6-7 months left of production. Also just a quick tip, developers usually don't start cracking down on fully polishing the graphics until the last stretch of game development.

Secondly, this argument about colors is stupid. First, if you watch the trailer on your HDTV. It has plenty of colors. It doesn't need to be all super mario halo ratchet colorful. It's supposed to be a "theatre of war." Where everything is grim, lifeless, sad, crazy, and brutal.
Also the argument about graphics in Gears 1 being the best graphics for the 360 til today is true. Until Gears...
While I agree that overall this E3 lacked any real megaton excitement from all the big three. But I felt Sony delivered the most games.
All unique offerings from PSN like Fat Princess, Ragdoll Kung Fu, Flower, SOCOM, Ratchet & Clank: Quest for some @ss, and Crash Commando, Pixeljunk Eden, Elefunk.
Then the unique nontraditional way of talking about numbers using LittleBigPlanet.

No you're not an idiot for thinking Fable 2 is going to be that good. My friend who's generally more pro-Sony admits he liked the original fable a lot and is fable 2 probably the only x360 game he's interested in.

If a game isn't shown, it's either the Publisher or the Developer's decision. The game is in development and coming.
This is just another case of Heavy Rain. Not until they get it to the point where they think it'll Shock and Awe people, they aren't going to release anything. And besides, wouldn't you guys rather have it that way?

FFXIII just becamse a tool for useless fanboy comparisons. Who has more pixels, which RED is slightly more red, Which animation has 2 more frames, which loads faster, etc. etc.

Just curious, if FF7 PS1 was published by Sony. Couldn't they just release the new FF7 under a different name, like FF7: Crystal Materia or something and have a different publisher? Much like F.E.A.R. and Project Origin.
So it could in fact still be multi-platform? I'm just theorizing if anybody can shed some light on this whole publishing thing.
